Hi friends,

I seek your valuable comments to select one .Please compare suszuki every 2003 and brandnew micro junior 111 van.My budget is 14 lakhs.

[/quotemr,

Mr. Diku,

my personal advise is to go for Suzuki every Van

I think what is available in srilanka are used vans.

If you are looking for a new van then go for Micro is ok although lot of users criticize on that van.

I am buying a new Chinese petrol van will arrive in about two months Srilanka 1.1 M.

ACCORDING TO THE CHINESE IMPORTER.

BUT NO SECOND HAND VALUE on Chinese Vehicles.

I already have a brand new bought 3 1/2 years ago few running problems now Cannot sell for .3M I paid 1.13 m

I have no regret for same.Because Jap van used one will give me more problems.

Mr. Dilku,

Three years ago I had a petrol Vennette which I bought in Japan and it was getting old I was running with domastic Gas cylinder I had no problems.

I selected Chana because it is a new Van with lot of space 11 seats I removed one center seat which has the folding seat and fitted to my old vennate and sold same to a friend of mine for a very low amount late it was sold after 6 months of using having a profit of .2 M BY THE NEW USER.

THEN I BOUGHT CHANA VAN FOR 1.3m AND GOT FULL LEASE 41000 FOR A MONTH.

THIS CHANA VAN HAS A BRAKE PROBLEM THEIR MASTER CYLINDER IS NOT PERFORMING THAT WELL I CHANGED TO A NISSAN ATLES VAN MASTER CYLINDER HAD TO REMOVE THE TANDEM MASTER CYLINDER BECAUSE NO PARTS WAS AVALIBLE WITH THE AGENTS GAVE DIRECT BRAKE FLUID TO REAR AND FRONT.

THIS VAN WAS USED BY A FRIEND OF MINE FOR FUNCTION FOR 20 DAYS HE HAD NOT FILLED UP THE WATER AND THE ENGINE STARTED MISSING WHEN HE RETURNED TO ME I REMOVED THE HEAD GOT IT REFACED AND HAD TO CHANGE FOUR VALVES AS THEY WERE BENT AND COMPRESSION WAS LEAKING. ALL JAPANESE SPARES FIT TO THIS VAN ENGINE THIS ENGINE 1300CC IS SUZUKI GYPSY JEEP PETROL ENGINE.NO POWER STEERING.

Double AC very efficient but gave away the fans in 25000 KMs. Other than that no problem so far I have had I get about 7 to 10 KM for a liter in Colombo Out of Colombo about on 5th Gear I get 13 KMs for liter.I have done now 33000 KMs.

Tyers are changed to 4 Ply as this had 6 Ply it was uncomfortable rear helper springs was removed and front coil springs were changed to smaller gauge springs to be more comfortable

Spare are available body panels too with the agents. They are getting down a new set of Vans 11 seat 1.1M do not know when it will come. I have told them to reserve one for me.

I### Trades also going to get down a similar type of van Petrol and Diesel. They already have Pancha truck .9 M.

Your are welcome with more details if you want.

My advise is to use a new Vehicle As Chinese vans are better than what it was few years ago.

Wijesinghe.

uumm... Sylvi, you urself pointed out a bucketload of problems in a brand-new chinese van that hadnt even done 50k km.. and you sitll recomend it to people... I'd say a a japanses used van of the same price would still be a better deal... hell, this doesnt even have power steering... and i seriously doubt how a 1300petrol engine can pull a van with dual AC and still give 7-10kmpl....

This IS sylvi's story so whoever reading this, please take this with a pinch of salt :P

PS: out of curiosity... Sylvi, Why would you get a chinese van on a foll lease and end up paying interest unnecessarily when you could have sold some of your silver spoons or used some of your wealth for 2 generations to buy it..... i wanted to send u a PM to ask this but ur unbox is full

True, for a 1.4Mil budget, why not a Town Ace CR27 (Lotto)? Very reliable and parts are freely available.

Dear, Dilesh,

If you got any positive or negetive qualities about the brand new MICRO VAN ,please be kind enough to share it with me.Thanks for your comment.

Sadly I dont have any experience with the micro vans but I would say its better to go for a older japanese vehicle cos it'll last you longer while giving you much less trouble trouble while retaining its value much more than a chinese or micro when it comes to reselling. I'm sure most on the forum would agree with me on this.

Not saying that a chnese or micro van is all-bad, just that they havent reached the standards or quality that we can get from a jap van of the same price..

wait so what does no water in the engine have to do with bent valves and misfires?

Usually if your car doesn't have any coolant you will see the engine smoking and the temp guage up before anything bad happens.

So 33,000 kilometers and you have had the engine rebuilt and new fans? You still haved the balls to say your chinese POS is better than a used jap van? You should go an hero yourself immediatley.

I dont think he can expect to see the temp guage go up since he threw away the termostat cos he thought it was redundent. Not to mention all the times he ran with the radiator fanbelt removed and cooled the engine via flood-water. Stupidity has no limits to some people.

:D

jdnet and Dilesh ,last two comments do not match with the topic Buddy Van !!!!!!!!!!

Just go for a japanese van. I think the daihatsu are the best. Failing that thedre are plenty of choices for reliable jap vans, both registered and unregistered.

Not sure when these were posted of the current values but use them as a reference

I don't know much abt Micro vans, but I have seen them running for SLT, even the very early ones. If U have any contacts check with a driver of those vans.

And also I went to Micro showroom in Kotta to check the new Micro MX7 mark 2, and in there I found a guy who's going to buy a micro van. He said it was comfotable and having a having a good control too. But not sure.

It's better if U can go and check with micro and have a test run.

Thinks he knows it all and is an expert on anything and everything... But i'm sure you dont know anything about his history (or do you <_< ) which is why i went OT on that. So sorry for typing two whole lines that wasn't 'relevant'....

May be out of context but isn't MICRO owned (co owner) by a high up Government politician. Hence the reason for SLT to procure!!!.

Mr. Dilku,

I replied to your request about what I have had with Chana Van. Any problems I have faced.

Delish one member on this forum all ways try to engage a argument with me he had insulted me with personal filthy messages to me. Which I did reply to him in same manner.

I told on my post this Vehicle was used by a friend of mine as he did not Know much of engines for 2000 Kms for a function without checking water or oil level

Water level had gone down and it has boiled he stooped the van and poured water then re stared engine started missing I was out of the Island for 25 days then he has returned the van without informing any thing.

That was the reason for engine valves gave trouble other vice there was no problem when I gave the Van before I left the Island there was no problems on the Van this boiling was not filling water level at least once in three days. My friend admitted he never checked any thing for the 2000 odd Kms he only he filled Petrol.

I use this Van now after the Engine top overhaul without any problem.

Any driver is first thing in the morning check oil and water level Battery water in 20 to 30 days you can see the brake oil level on the tank as this is a plastic tank.

I hope this is clear to you and to other members cause of Engine problem.

There are millions of Chinese built Vehicles are running daily round the world Srilanka too has number of Agents offering Chinese Vehicles they are existing.

Chinese Vehicles are daily Improving with R/D is very high stranded in China they will be the leading Vehicle supplier one day.

Even Japan started mass scale Vehicles only after 1970 before that the had only USA UK vehicles in that country.I have seen them personally.

Japan hit first the Watch then Motor cycle followed by Vehicle and all other consumer items.

We in Srilanka had all vehicles came from WEST.

UK GERMANY USA FRANCE before 1962 only after 1977 Free imports were allowed Japanese Vehicles started coming in.

Dear,Thanushka,Thank you for your comment. How do you feel about Micro MX7 ? As you said I asked a driver at SLT but not got enough facts .They change vehicles frequently and tried to compare with L 300 and Noahs.I feel lucky if I find a USER of MICRO Buddy.

And I checked a brand new buddy ( red colour ) at Micro cars Ltd. just before It had been handed over to the customer. It has been improved to great extent than previous model.Such as areodynamic shape, pleasent inrterior, good seats ,engine capacity etc. They told me not to worry anything because even factory is in SriLanks.I thought of buying a Unreg. suzuki every 2003 until I see this Brand new buddy. So I need more facts from you to select one of them.

Hi dilku,

Well the looks of the car was fantastic, but I'm not in a position to say the durability and the build quality of the vehicle.

I know! the moment i was told my post was OT, i smelled a big fish with a silver spoon up its ass! But we cant quite throw around accusations, so maybe Peri can help get to the root of it...

:)

But presuming it IS the same fish, how jobless and useless must one be to have to ak himself questions just so that he can answer.

May be, but I think you can find out how the vehicle build quality since they are some of the initial customers of Micro. That's Y I said to ask from the drivers, the ppl who screw the things to hell. :)
