Toyota Axio Or Mazda Axela 2009?

Well now, this is weird, are you comparing the 2+2 proper sports car vs. the 'looks like a sports car' car? The 4 cylinder 1.5 engine will be quite hard to match with the 1.3 rotary. Even though the 1.5 may put out decent power, the 1.3 Renesis is considered as 2.6l in most competitions for a reason, don't you think? As it has a different cycle and working, it can take in twice the amount of air/fuel than a normal 4 stroke in any given time.

OT, but just wondering how does customs treat this for tax purposes? is it considered as 1300cc, or 1300 * 1.5 (how it is done in Japan according to Wiki) or something else?

Well I asked a guy doing work with gift permits etc. about how much it'd be to bring a number of good sports cars. But he said only the RX7 or RX8 can be brought under that cuz it's under the capacity limit. So to answer your question, AFAIK, 1300cc. That 1300*1.5 or 1300*2 comes only in motorsports nah? To make it fair?

well you are not that far away from the RX8 are you,another half a mil and your there.so save up a little bit more OR wait awhile,because I have a feeling the RX8s are gonna come down to the 3 million mark soon.

If i was given the Budget of those Two i will surely go for the Axela 2009.

This is because Axela Body is a well built on the Ford Focus Body Frame. It carries one the best engines in its class. Trust me on this. On Wet Weather i have driven this car at the range of 160km to 180 km and cornered at High Speeds and it has never let me down. It has one of the most responsive engines with a Super VVTi which is very overtaking Friendly ( Hope i put it correctly )

I am sure if you go on a long Distance Drive you would not be thinking about a Resale value while you are Driving.

I am sure you would be thinking more about the enjoyment you can get out of a vehicale.

I did guys... However its the 2007 model... It did cost me about 3.5mil (wine red) and I am very happy about the choice I made... Axela 2009 model goes well over 5 mil so it was not an option for me... It's 1.5ltr engine does about 10km/l in Colombo... And I am very happy about the fuel economy. Good performance lots of options and very comfortable ride. However on the downside I miss the factory fitted reverse senses and a handle to open the trunk

agree with lance here.. persoannlly if i see another axio or hear people talking about it.. i will be compeled to punch them.. enough already.... mazda 3 is far better compared to the axio.. i am not saying this because in my heart i am still a mazda guy but because realibilty, durability and other shit that comes with the axio are present in the 3 as well..

and fuel economy.. please... maybe the axio can churn out a extra 1 km or 2... but not big difference... plus.. and get this.. i used a maruti for a week because my ride was in the garage.. and the bugger said it does 11 to 12 in trafic.. but minimum it will give me 10.. get this... i managed to get the FC down to 7.5K a liter on that crap box.. driving the same way i used to drive the astina.. which was 21 years old compared to the maruti being around 6 years.. and in the astina with that type of driving i used to get 9K a liter....

so this fuel economy crap is realtive.. i bet i can get less KM's a liter in a axio than in a 3.. plus that axio motor will not be able to handlt the torture i will put that through.... bugatti can vouch for me on this..

so IJ guess u will still go for the axio since u are a die hard family man.. for the rest please get a 3 or something that is not eye torture or makes me go blind at the glimpse of it..

Does anyone know how we can activate the factory fitted Navi in SL (Sala guys only use their equipment) or at least change the language to English so I can use the other features such as music from USB, SD and HDD..? By the way TV is also not working cos Japs are using NTSC instead of PAL...
