What is this criteria to "search before starting a thread?"

sigh... at the risk of getting caught in the cross fire... :violent-smiley-099:

the number one result on google for "forum etiquette" is http://forum-services-review.toptenreviews...uette-tips.html

And the #2 point there is "Search the other posts to see if your topic is already covered."

(and for the record "Do not chastise newbies." is #25)

also on the first page of search results, courtesy the London School of Economics, http://clt.lse.ac.uk/Help/forum-etiquette.php under the "Be effective" section suggests "don't start a new topic if your post relates to an existing one - reply to the existing thread instead" and "Read what's already there before posting. You may be repeating what others have already said or asked."

...sigh...

its not fun seeing how everyone seems to get worked up :(

Gentlemen, it takes two hands to clap

about time we all took a chill pill - ignore the unwanted posts and simply respond to queries raised if we feel inclined to rather than lunging at the opportunity to chastise those who've strayed from the accepted norms of forum behavior

as irritating as some of these recent posts have been, it might be best for our collecting health & sanity to simply ignore and move on rather than letting all this incessant bickering pollute the threads & "defile the sanctity of the forum" :)

Your a bold man.I got it

Apparently, you have not. I will now make it very clear.

I do NOT appreciate having to come home and clean threads of your filth. This is strike two. You think people should treat you like your special or something? I have had enough of you. If you wanna stay, behave. Otherwise, get out.

And its BALD!

One donkey at a time. And criticizing the moderator is not a real smart move there. You might wanna reconsider that.

Oh and a small tip. You go around calling it crap when people help you out, your not gonna find any friends willing to help you out in the future when you come up with you next question. At that point, no one will even want to search and give you links.
