Genuine mud flaps are the best but not cheap. You could find from TECH Motors at Panchi. Also you could compare prices of genuine shocks from the same place. (I think originals are not KYB. probably Showa or Tokiko something sounds).KYB also not bad but bit stiffy.

EK3 non v-tec does 10 km /Lt in modarate traffic in the city. I am little hard on the paddle but my one never did less than 10 km/Lt, I have closely monitored everytime when tank was being topped up. When I go to Kandy once in a month It had done only 11km/Lt but Dambulla road once it did 14 km/Lt.

Intelligent key - It is a programmed electronic devisor and When you have this one with you, You can open doors and start the engine with out inserting the key.

according to one of my relatives, it does 6-7 km/lt in city driving and 9 km/lt out station. But depends on the driving style.

I have used a B12 some years a go and it did 9-10 km in city driving and I can remembeer it did 14 km out station (Anuradapura- Colombo).At that time it was only 7 years old car and never had any serious issues.

ES 5 - Exported to Singapore in south east region basically. 1.6 Lt, Hydrolic power steering, VTi machine, Leather interior(Artificial). Fender strip right around door panels. ES 8 - Sri Lanka brand new version, 1.5 Lt, DOHC machine. Outer appearence is same as ES5 . Better if you could buy a ES5 because Steering rack will last more than other two models with out giving rattling noise due to hydrolic machanism and good overall performance.(Face lifted version is the best) Price varies from 2.7 million- 3.4 million.

You can't say better. Mechanically both are more or less same unless es1 Vt model.In es8 you get a fender strip right round on doors.

Normally they use nylon bushes which does not last too long. I gave them a piece of TEFLON (Use for propeller shaft bush works).

I had the same issue in my es1 and stafford introduce a teflon bush and lasted about 6 months till I sold it last year .
