Depends on your perception of a 'legitimate' site. Anyone can buy a domain name and host a site. In short, www . autolanka . com and www . auto-lanka . com is not the same thing. " yaaahoo.com " is out there as well, but "yahoo.com" can do nothing about it

.That`s for permit holders though. A diesel corolla wagon could be bought (re-con) for 280,000 back then, with the permit

LoL..!!! Lets see whether Cali can at least figure out who this dude is.

Same URL, I guess the upgrade was rolled back (far too many times now) due to issues.

So if "you"`ve already ordered, does it really matter what others "think" ..?

Just watched the 5th episode. Brilliant editing work. S_N, have you guys got any statistics on the no. of viewers tunning in for the show? I hope it’s growing by the week. Also, how is MaxTV`s coverage in the island?

Plus, with a manual, cruise control should also get turned off when the clutch is pressed. I guess it`s not difficult to tap in to the break light switch if required, wonder how these kits actually work.

I wont mind a classic at all mate..!! That`ll gimmi plenty of time to enjoy the scenery if/when the car decides to let go of a bit of steam up hill.

WoW.!! Now anybody here willing to let me rent a RWD car this December? I promise I’ll look after the tires. Please? Anybody?

OT, but this is actually good if it is going to introduce strict Quality Control in to Thai assembly lines. Have`t seen a Thai built yet, that`s equal to Jap quality.

If you are referring to the blind spot monitor, It`s a radar to detect any vehicle hanging around at the blind spot area. Helps in changing lanes by illuminating an indicator at the side mirror.

Comparison of the classics was impressive. Brilliant stuff.

+1 for that. Cars are the least of our worries in fact. If we are finding it so hard to take investment decisions with first-hand information, foreign entities that are/were considering in investments must be turning away in numbers. It`s very hard to deal with the country indeed.

Geeee, this really is Zambo`s big brother.. The long lost one..!! Kuhan mate, been over a random pot hole in a parking lot? Now imagine those things popping out randomly from here and there along a 500km Journey. And then imagine doing that in a kitted 15-20 year old car. After that imagine doing that on a regular basis in a kitted 15-20 year old car in a place where it`s difficult to find expert mechanics and spare parts to fix the darn thing if/when it breaks. See not too difficult to imagine after all eh? I would look for a EG8 in decent nick first, buy if i find one, get all mechanical issues sorted, drive around a fair bit and then think about the body kit..!

Some extra info here : http://forum.autolanka.com/index.php?/topic/9237-importing-car/page__pid__204399__st__60#entry204399 There`s also news that the gov is looking to scrap personal imports completely : http://forum.autolanka.com/index.php?/topic/13543-10m-non-refundable-deposite-to-obtain-vehicle-import-permit/page__pid__204450#entry204450 With this rate of policy change in the country, you`ll probably be better off Buying second hand from SL. Good luck paying two times in value as tax for a 40 grand car mate (just an approximation only).

Can vaguely remember seeing such a video, wasn't it VBH who did the review at fifth gear?

One quick question back to you, were you known as "Zambo" in a previous life?

I Want A Japenese Car
MrCat replied to Kuhan James Thurairarasa's question in Car Buying Information
I understand your mind set, but unfortunately buying a car without getting screwed up in style is not that easy in SL. Sports coupes are rare (don’t know whether there are any 180s, few rx-7`s perhaps) finding an unmolested one would not be straight forward. You know you can`t grab a 180 for a few thousand dollars in SL but would be in the range of $20k+ even if one did exist right? You did the right thing posting here, do some more research by reading some threads on car buying, etc… Why not buy something more freely available until you get the hang of driving in SL, car maintenance, car market, etc..? Also, don’t send anyone car shopping unless you are certain that they know what they are dealing with. -
It appears that the spell checker wasn't enabled back then "PEUGEOTs are the mainly available europian car".. was this based on numbers sold? Or Harshan being biased?
