  1. Well look simple enough. Only took two people Great pics.
  2. For those non believers, here's one caught on tape. Look carefully
  3. As heartless as this may sound, we have to consider those that who are lost as casualties of this conflict. However, we also have to make every effort to minimize those casualties. If we do all that is within our power to minimize the innocent lives being lost, then we have done our part. We came this far and to pause now is a big mistake. It will result in more lives lost in the future. This conflict need to come to an end and fast. So faster we get rid of these LTTE parasites the sooner we can begin to rebuild and recover the country that it once was. These pathetic assholes [sorry for my French] have put our country in a holt in both economically and socially. We have lot of very smart and gifted individuals whose progress is held back because of this conflict and the country along with that. IMO. We need to kill every one of these LTTE bastards slowly in a span of several days for destroying our country. Torture the bastards and drag the bodies behind tanks until there is nothing to drag any more. Secondly, we need to have a heavy military presence in the North and North-East for several years to come to make sure these numb nuts don't regroup.
  4. Great concept but I doubt it's real. Regardless of what's controlling it, you'll also need something physical to actuate the throttle, brakes and move the steering. As great as the on board ECU is, I don't think it is expandable to run actuators. Not to mention Ron Dennis will have someone's head. That said, they do make them sing.... God save the queen We are the champions. Must be after a football game For the frenchies
  5. Highest ever recorded was 983 RWHP [~1,130 at the crank] on stock internals. That's stock pistons and rods but worked head with big valves. I changed my pistons only. I did that to hit 920 HP mainly because I wanted to up the compression and also I was running a 280 HP shot of NOS. I kept the stock rods though and they pushed nearly 840 LB/TQ without any issues. Blew up plenty of fully built engine though. Goes to show you how robust the stock internals are. Engine is only one part of the equation. The MKIV also had a bulletproof transmission, rear dif and half shafts. Most of these guys drag racing still run the stock 6 speed, rear dif and half shafts. I'm yet to hear someone blowing up a trans though. There were few reports of diff blowing up on hard launches with slicks but never heard of a half shaft coming apart without wheel-hop. Toyota 3SG and 2JZ are couple of the best engines that Toyota ever built. If the new car comes with something that can handle 4-500 hp you're going to see lot of people modifying them.
  6. This is back on and scheduled as a 2012 model. Should be a fun little car with the skubi boxer engine. Nice car for mod junkies since a STI power plant could be fitted without too much trouble. If Toyota keep to the Supra like built quality in the drive train, modding this car will be fun.
  7. They are the same car just the name is different. Not sure what they go for in SL. I just picked up a RX400h [hybrid] about a month ago for $60k out the door. If this car is available in SL, it'll be significantly more given the tax issue there.
  8. Have her read this article and many more out on the net. http://www.car-accidents.com/pages/seat_belts.html http://www.illinoistollway.com/portal/page...;_schema=PORTAL On a personal note, I walked away with very minor injuries from a head on into a tree doing ~50 MPH. The biggest injury I had was the belt mark across my torso. Had it wasn't for the belt, I'd be missing more than my teeth
  9. Maybe he's trying to spread his seeds around. The approach need some more work though. CNN just reported this incident. Very glad that no innocent life was lost.

  22. EGR is not a big concern. Just make sure that the wastegate is not bleeding off. If the wastegate is bled off you will encounter an o v e rboost situation. People often do this to increase boost but at the expense of the turbo life. Make sure there are no cracks on the vacuum line leading into the wastegate and the actuator diaphragm is not leaking. From your description, looks like someone already modified the turbo to run more boost than what it was out of the factory. You can do a low tech inspection of your turbo to make sure you don't have too much shaft play and the turbo is in good shape. Remove the intake pipe leading into the turbo compressor side and inspect the turbo. Hold the center of the shaft that bolts onto the compressor wheel with two fingers and see if you can move it back an forth and up and down. There should be a very small movement back and forth but not up and down. If the shaft is moving up and down, you turbo is shot. While you're there make sure the turbo spins smoothly without any binding or resistance.

  24. I'm with you Charith. Hate all these driving aids on new cars. We are just heading toward the inevitability of self driven cars. I just hope I'm not alive to experience the excitement.
