  1. My wife drives a Passo (1000cc) but it never did beyond 10km/l in the city. But I can agree on the fact that it's trip computer is rather accurate. Then again the car is really practical, in terms of day to day use for a lady. Have lot of space and than it seems. I do agree it lacks the looks but having that 'funny looking' gear lever is a bliss when you need to switch seats!
  2. I have this exact same type of dust caps, but never had this issue. I normally check air when I pump gas, so may be it helps to keep them loose. But anyway thanks for the info. There's another thing. When you let the workers at sheds to check air, they tend to tighten these dust caps to their maximum, like they prevent air from leaking. So normally I do the dust cap tightening part myself whenever there is a worker to help.
  3. In Sri Lanka, best way is to avoid any possible interactions with the Police (or with any Government body for that matter). It's a pile of shit and no it is not going to get any better either, so try to stay away. Obey road rules.
  4. I don't think mate. Anyway you pay the toll at the exit so towing charges might get accumulated to that! What I am surprised to see is the road looks clear in both directions. Might be cos its too early in the day...
  5. As of what i read in gossip, at least linked buses and lorries will be allowed after 6 months of operation.
  6. yeah and imo the best one was hired by peugeot. she was worth watching
  7. that batmobile was once a decent vios.
  8. true. i too can vouch for this info. this new provider claims to have 3D vector imagery of the buildings as well. according to the latest of what i've heard, he'll probably pair up with another mobile provider cuz competing with dialog would otherwise be too difficult. it is rumoured to be mobitel.
  9. probably because the 'seller' also paid for shipping when he got it down in the first place
  10. Imagine these fellows sneak through traffic just like other bikers and when they have to stop, their guard wheels come down banging on your doors
  11. Add to that, there you get another interesting thing called the 'hook turn'. In that, you suppose to wait at the left most lane in an intersection if you are planning to turn right. And on signal, you have to cross all lines and make your turn. Imagine if we had that here
  12. Hey that's new! Didn't know there are sellers from SL selling Chinese stuff on eBay. I wonder from where he gets his stuff down
  13. yup, most cargills food cities have the 3M Scotch double side tape. around 350 bucks. 3 meters in length as i remember. again on the topic, i have got down a skull which fits to the cigarette lighter plug. that was cool! ebay link.
  14. ive seen them at a motor accessory shop in park street. see map. its a famous joint for window tints.
  15. I had the same question sometime back. It was discussed on this thread. The bottom line is simply you should have it in place.

    Painting Bumpers

that's nonsense. anyway the painting is done on top of a primer coat, not directly on the material. also when you get your bumpers scratched, in most cases you will have to get the whole thing repainted. btw reading your post lead me thinking that you've never scratched your bumpers since 1995. that's weird!
  17. the installation seems to be done properly. thumbs up for that. hope there were no any mishaps. care to share where you got it done? and about the color and stuff, well i too think its not the ideal. may be its because blue doesn't go well with the body color of the car imo.
  18. when it comes to spares, i guess you'll have better luck finding recons with cedia. other factors would more or less be the same with both models imho.
  19. Official maintenance guides can be downloaded from here.
  20. umm i don't think those inverters will draw much current like the hids (the red/black wires are not that thick isn't it?). but better check the wattage of those units before connecting them to the parking light's circuit.
  21. dunno any experts for this exact job, but you can try the headlight cleaning joints. since they can neatly take apart the headlights which is the hard part, gluing the rings and taking the wires out of the housing would not be that hard once you explain them what to do. afaik there are no electronics to be messed up, just that u need to join the wires to the parking bulb's wires. i don't think you'll need to change the fuses cuz you'll be using the halos instead of the parking bulbs anyway.
  22. says who?
  23. well I was experiencing the same kinda problem. mine had a slightly cracked engine mount also so thought it might be the case... until i took the car for a tune up last weekend before getting the emission test done. all standard stuff were done including cleaning spark plugs & air filter, checking distributor contacts and wires, checking petrol filter, etc but to rectify the actual issue, all it needed was few adjustments on the screws. now the engine is smooth as ever. (mine is a carb model so in your case it may not be totally relevant) so my suggestion is to take your car to a mechanic and let him have a look. it cost me 1200 with an emission test report. PM me if you want any details.
  24. haha yeah true. me too have one there. but the problem is, it doesn't contain the most important 'you are here' bit
