  1. they cannot pull you over for using a hands free, if they do' jus talk them right and tell them that you will be going against it, if you are to be fined. as long as you do not use your hand to answer a call, click buttons in the hands free it will be fine. use the 'AUTO answer' mode and it will do. invest in a BT and you will never get in to any issues! you guys are using exxxpensive phones rit?? monada bung? aliya gannawa' henduwa ganda barida??
  2. nah..its not like dropping a entirely new engine.. it would be a replacement of the head, and some other mechanical mods.
  3. well cops can be gud. one of my friends have been using his hand phone near an army camp, and they have taken the phone saying that they want to check if he has been recording anything, no arguments! he had taken the SIM and given the phone. he never got it back. same thing happened to a another friend - same thing. better watch out.
  4. agree with fuzzo, use a Blue Tooth
  5. well as far as i can remember: if your car is 1.6 Liter, then the deal is simple(not really, but then if you work it out correctly) you can actually replace your Engine head (is this wot you guys are talking here?) with a GT spec (20 Valve) header. you see the GT engine is 4A-GE where as yours is 4A-FE, so if its a 1.6 only the head is different. i had a Ceres 1.6 (ECT-S) and i was advised to make the change, of course after the header replacement you will have to change the transmission, breaks, clutch, etc. hehe.. better benefits. consult the experts.
  6. its sure ok shaks, BTW i know the price that you bought her, and the much de previous owner told as to wot has to be done, wot needs to be replaced and so on..lately only realized that the car was owned by a person who sits with us on on the same floor. as far as you being not worried about 'juice' i dont see any other reason to be bothered about. great buy shaks! Z surely deserves a treat from you.. Ur Lucky!
  7. devinda_Z how do you know p*? or do you keep your eye on the Z_ kind of cars always? have a list?
  8. gud stuff man! how much was this? and please post some more pics..
  9. looks nice bro!
  10. hopefully a AE110 96 model, manual would fit in. you mite not be able to find a decent buy for the amount tho, cos vehicle prices are very high and getting more and more higher. but then look around you mite be lucky! can surely find AE100, butttt....its better if you can go for a AE110 atleast. time is ticking, days are passing and older models 'go out of colombo

very less demand, less second hand value. one of my friends cousin have bought a one, and it has been a pain to him. looks ugly.. dont think there will be issues with engine as its toyota. i dont think its a gud buy anyways.
  12. naaa.. happy to see ppl talking the 'truth' finally hehe
  13. seriously a 'gentleman', happy to see them in AL
  14. well of course the AE-110, if you want more fuel economy try to settle with a manual transmission one, what has been said by 'Ripper' is true.. Nissan just gives 'bit roomier feeling and eats fuel, wastage is more and you wont be able to rest just with regular servicing, u would have to pay an extra attention. ' dats in comparing with toyota let us know when you buy yours, and post the pics and keep in touch..
  15. Happy Birthday Paniyaa...
  16. GOOD!! impressed! sometimes i wonder wot on earth 'will have to buy, so that we dont have to be such careful with the bus's.. but i don't see a answer. cos wot ever you buy you will have to watch around.. of course guys those have old jeeps will be happy to play with bikes and 3 wheels, but can you do that with buses? i guess not
  17. yes, actually the lancer must be in sams budget as far per my knowledge as well.. as someone noted earlier ppl are coming up with their OWN values for vehicles.. how stupid! and in a situation the given permit is not going to make a big deal with the prices or the car market! hell is not that far... i heard yesterday chintana telling that he did not give money for tigers to buy planes, so he insists 'what can i do'? gud gud... as if we gave money to them... p##s!! all are same.
  18. (1) if possible try to gather up to around 1mil. have a decent buy at once. - this will be less problems, economical, and would be a decent ride, and a value for money, always u can re-sell without a big deal. (AE 100 fits in) -finding a car for around 6 means, that there would be lots of things to be done to make it roadworthy as saturn said. (2) if its strictly 6 and nothing more than it you can find. try to settle with a toyota AE 91/90 models, which would be 17-,18- numbers, but here no cars will be with a EFI so watch out for the fuel economy. *best thing is the 1st option*
  19. how idiotic! better to leave before its too late.. (these things never gonna change OR get in order)
  20. this is wher we had the last meet rite? when does this start and end?
  21. did u sell the new BM as well? is it?
  22. Hey Gunat, can you tell me the place, want to get fixed to mine also. thanks in advance.
  23. heard' dat the truck driver was working on 24 hours without considerable rest. - in order to cover the stock transfers to 'be ready with new year, even if so will the responsible authorities let know of this to public?

  25. hmmmm...i will share wot i know, hope it will help. As you know, till now we have only bought Toyota vehicles, sometime back we had a AE100 Corolla as well. when we buy a car first we do a: (1) FULL checkup, the service (changing all the oils, brake oils, etc) (2) Tune Up including the Time belt change and injector cleaning/cleansing - new plugs, battary checking all. (3) then the tyre, break pads, cluth this and dat check. So that now we know the actual condition of the car, and have a better idea. know wot we replaced and know in wot areas to be taken care.. no fuss, no surprises on the road at sudden! Drive Safe!
