I get my ÁC repairs done by a guy called "Ajith". His place is almost opposite the pepiliyana Keells.

Just before the bellanwila junc. Huge board in blue with A/C on it.

His diagnosis and repairs are quite accurate. ( Well at least so far anyway :) )

Best Place would be De*p Fr*eze....take the pita kotte/etul kotte turn off from parliament road and the place is about 250 m down the road on the left.

Ive not used any other place since I can remember.

plus they are open on sundays

I'm not sure if I am supposed to mention names here but I want to say I recently got ripped off silly from an A/C place in Pita Kotte which was recomended by a friend. I was in a hurry and my regular guy was full up with work and kept postponing my appointment.

Not only was I ripped off, my dash board clips were broken, center console damaged, my leather seats covered with grease and torn in one place, and there was water collecting in the footwell which was not there before.

I got ripped off because he claimed to have replaced many things after keeping my car for two weeks trying to detect the problem. Charged me 50k for it!!!!! And it did not cool better at all. So I sent t back.............then he charges me a mere 7k and it cools better finally.

Needless to say I am furious :D . After he's done all that damage what could I do? :( So please be very careful.

I was once ripped off as well, when i took the car for an A/C service (this was a old mazda) and when i went there the dude told me i had to replace a lot of things, to get the A/C working properly but even after spending all that money changing the compressor, the condensor, the evaporator etc the car didnt cool that well, infact it cooled less !!

So i sugget cutting out marketing crap when you go to get your A/C serviced, i learnt my lesson the hard way

My A/C repairs are done by Nadeera's dad. No prob's wat so ever and prices are oki for me. Atleast the work is top notch and don't have to worry too much abt leaving the car there.

Nadeera's dad is very good, reasonable and a nice guy and I take most of my cars there. Only thing is he'll give you a bit of extra grease on your interior :D

thanks all for the suggestions.. now i have too many choices :)

talk about quick response..... well looks like your now overloaded.... pulling slots might be a good method to chose a place..... :D

I got mine serviced meaning a full clean up and re gassed- lucky for me there were no issues but it still cost me 5000/- with the gas, servicing and labor

Anyway the place is near Open university be 4 coming to the bridge ( coming form Nugegoda side)

when you say servicing, you mean just dusting the damp area right?

I have always had good service from Kare Services in Mahabage (just off Negombo Road). The owner even once came out at night in his double cab to give me a jump start free of charge, but this might be because I have been a customer for 10 to 12 years.

Hay Holla.... How ?

Well as I said it was working fine bt my friends told me the blower was not pushing enough and to get it cleaned ( He's an AC -domestic guy) So asked around a few places and all quoted above 5000/-

These guys removed the box thingy near the cubby area and cleaned the filters, the motors and the core ( something like a radiator which was clogged with dust. Then they washed the radiator fins ( AC Part od the radiator which sits in front of the radiator ) and re-oiled the pipes and re gassed the system as they let the gas out.....

C.Park have a form cleaning system but they advised me to first get it checked so as to ensure that there are no leaks in the core due to rust - cau the form they use removed all the dirt and if there's a leak due to rust then I would anyway have to get it fixed- mighty nice of them to be honest and lose out on the servicing part.

well all in all the price was on the high side bt just though I get it done so I know where I stand- glad that there was no major issue with the AC

Cheers
