I've been searching for a wife like that for ages now Someone who doesn't say "Aren't you too old for that?" to me
-
C'mon, they have been reprimanded for that, they have been banned for coming to the end of season dinner party so the matter is closed now.
-
More than that, I think this should be an option specific for SL market. You know, a typical corolla driver would want to deactivate the Airbags to prevent any damage to the dash in the event of an accident. Toyota can save them the trouble of going around darly road to find someone to cut the wires... (No offence intended to the corolla drivers who doesn't fit into the category)

Could be the cause. Otherwise to maintain an avg speed of 384kmh what was she driving. a Veyron?

Seriously man, My point exactly. Do you open threads like this in "fashion forums" when you want to buy lets say a new jacket?

Tesla Motors - Cars That Will Change The World
k9master replied to Californikan's topic in General Automotive
Does this mean you took action? For not apologizing for posting wrong information? Please announce it if so... -
@ dreamracer: Dude, isn't that why anyone would engage in the SIM world. Our Director Sales Strategy owns a Maserati Trofeo GT3 Cup pumping 450BHP, has his own racing team, spends over $20,000 every quarter just for racing. If I can have that guys life I will not be drawn in this many sims as well Check the details out at http://www.iracing.com and http://www.lfs.net. LFS do have real life cars and tracks but they have used there own names I think to save licensing fees etc.
-
Hey matey, Will PM you my LFS ID. When you introduced LFS to me I didn't like it much primarily because of the cars & tracks not having the correct names and stuff took me a bit away from the SIM aspect. However LFS really grows on you buddy. Now I love playing it and am used to the handling and other characteristics of the game. Still don't love the fact that I cant directly attribute the feeling to a real life car or a track. With that and in terms of physics iRacing is still a bit above on my scale. Love the SIMBIN stuff for the completeness of the overall experience, Cars, Tracks, sounds, visuals supports NVidia 3D vision etc. Since I don't own a PS2 or a PS3 to immerse in the GT4 GT5 experience, this is the closest I can get. Cheers, K9M

Tesla Motors - Cars That Will Change The World
k9master replied to Californikan's topic in General Automotive
Hi Cali, A small clarification: Back in 2011 Northern California Non-Residential Electrical Energy Consumption was 74,071 gWh. (Source: http://ecdms.energy.ca.gov/elecbycounty.aspx) So I believe this has increased over time by significant mount and should be at a higher figure by now. Now lets focus on the Capacity of whole of California to generate Geo-thermal energy in 2013 which is 2732.2mW. (Source : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geothermal_energy_in_the_United_States#cite_note-13) Now lets convert that to a gWh figure for the whole year: 2732.2 * 8760 (no. of Hours per Year) / 1000 (to make it Giga Watt) = 23,935 gWh. As a result, even if we assume that electrical energy consumption of NC has not increased since 2011, at the moment can provide only about 32% of the energy need Assuming Whole of the Geo-thermal energy is used for Non-residential power Whole of the Geo-thermal capacity is used only by Northern California leaving rest of the state to be powered by non-renewable sources) So sorry if we don't buy it if you claim that the Tesla factory is powered 100% by Geo-Thermal energy just because its located in Northern California. I do have a lot of respect towards Tesla for the amount of work they have put in to create a decent Electric Car despite having an immature Iron Man wannabe as a chairman. But the association of your degraded brand in the AL community with the Tesla brand is ruining it for all of us. Seriously. So if you love and want to support Tesla, take away your worshipping attitude and let the forum members have a decent debate over the car. Cheers K9M -
Couldn't agree more with Jady. If you can compromise a bit on the PC upgrade and use some of that money for the wheel. Its really worth it. If you are planning to use the SIM racing games for the PC, believe me you can do a whole lot less with Graphics & Processor. Here are my specs: Processor : Core2Duo 1.8MHz MB : El Cheapo Asus MB which I don't even bother memorizing the model of RAM : 4GB DDR3 VGA : NVidia GeForce GTS 450 1GB DDR5 HDD : 200GB SATA with no fancy RAID or anything Sound : SoundBlaster Xfi Fatality (Cos I cant compromise on Audio, but this may not be a priority for you) I can play most of the sims with full graphics or mid graphics with no or very less issues @ 1080p resolution iRacing (Awesome Realism & My #1 Choice) LFS (Realism is really really close to iRacing and a fantastic piece of kit. Many thanks to AL member 'Silver Racer' for recommending this) Race07 (Base, GT Power Expansion, Retro Expansion, RaceOn Expansion - Many Cars, Realistic Engine Sound, best overall experience with a bit of a compromise on Realism) SimBin GTR (This is a way older Game with Fantastic Physics) rFactor (Customizable platform with many many tracks & cars developed by a community. Not as realistic as iRacing but a good Sim) NFS 5 Porsche unleashed (Call me crazy but this has good physics. Not up to Sim grade but when you are tired of concentrating on your lap times this is a great way of cooling off) I can even play Race07 3D via Discover Glasses (Refresh rate of the TV is not enough for stereophonic) with medium graphics. Believe me mate when you are immersed in the experience of a sim you don't have time to admire the details of the trees that you are passing by and how the reflection of the passing car is drawn on your cars body. You really really have to concentrate on achieving the best racing line, which gear to be in, on the grip that you've got etc. Hope this helps. Cheers, K9M

Hi Peri, Glad to hear that the situation has improved. I know exactly where you are cos I went through pretty much the same late last year. My prayers are with your father and wish him a speedy recovery... K9M

Treading on dangerous territory mate, one wrong move and AL will be banned in SL. Apparently one gossip site publicised a photo of a certain Rolls with certain people and it was instantly banned...
-
Mate the first question is are you CERTAIN that the problem is with the ECU? Many mechanics interpret issues with sensors and other electrical problems as ECU defects. There are many instances where the ECUs have been replaced and the issue still exist. Did you get a 2nd opinion before this brain surgery? Cheers, K9M

Prius 3Rd Gen - Change Display/voice Language?

Wow... very helpful Cali. Thanks. Op definitely wouldn't have thought of this on his own. OP, this thread should help you out http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/10920-change-language-in-prius-2008/?hl=%2Bprius+%2Bjapan#entry166891 -
Sad story... Hope the car gets a good owner who can treat it the way it should be... Someone like this : http://www.lotusespritworld.co.uk/EOwners/ChrisBarrand.htmlhttp://www.lotusespritworld.co.uk/EOwners/ChrisBarrand.html

Now this is not a issue limited to you guys now is it?
-
Wow... this thread is becoming a great trip down the memory lane... Now that OP has bought a bike and have his first questions answered, I suggest we keep going... And I have my doubts about whether the Chaly is a classic or not, completely washed off. Let me see if I could dig up some old pics to post
-
Err... was it like a hobby or something
-
OT was fine. I just didn't get what you meant by the BMW E Series. By this logic it covers everything for E3 to E93
-
Wow mate.. I'm talking about the late nineties and petrol was a bit expensive. My friend won it as a first price in a raffle draw so it was technically something he bought with his own money He never let his parents forget this fact...
-
I don't know how many members here will consider Chaly as a classic but for me this is a bike that brings out a lot of memories. Back in the days when we were not old enough to drive, good ol chaly was the only run-about available for me and 3 other guys. We used to prowl around (at least 3 on it most of the time) areas around Kandy (not in the city) looking for booze, smokes and a special kind of VHS tapes Rain or shine it got us around for all sorts of mischievous stuff and all it asked was a 50 quid worth of petrol bought off a 'petti kade' in return... The bike is still with my good buddy and the 4 of us hope to restore it and give it a dignified retirement one day... Sorry for the sudden downpour... Cheers, K9M

Nice... One is trying to make a better profit at the risk of putting lives in danger and the other is advising to maximize profit by convert it to a sure fire death trap... Seriously, a car is sold usually for millions, be decent enough at least to put new CE#Ts spending a few thousands...
