What you have referred to as a CVT is in fact a Tiptronic transmission and they usually came in the ZL-VE 1.5L 130hp engines. The main difference is that this is a variable valve timing engine and I think they also had 4 disk breaks. I believe that they mostly came in hatchback variants. BJ5Ps have been known to have gearbox issues due to ford gearboxes, so make sure to check it specifically.

Guys, I've used fuel system cleaners on all my previous cars and had good results with 3M and Wurth products. However all of them were non GDI cars. I currently have an Scross 1L turbo. No particular issue in general but its nearing 30K and i want to keep it running smooth. Whats the wisdom on using fuel system cleaners on GDI car? Im asking specifically because ive noticed on previous cars that the engine has a bit of a loss in power and slight knock when these are added. Cant seem to find anything online on this either.

Sometimes in older gen cars you need specialized software to read. I had a BJ5P which didnt have the odb2 plug like yours. Most of these cars are running obd2 protocols but dont have ports. I had to use an app called FORscan to get it working, never worked with torque or any other app. Maybe there is one specific to Toyota.

What can I say? Life's been tough after the end trio left top gear. But on a serious note I don't think I will be paying more for the same thing just because it's a sporty brand. Sorento is a bit too big for my liking. It has a bit of an uncle vibe to it too.

Hi Guys, Long time no see ? So im interested in buying an compact suv for around 4-5 million range. Currently my main options are the tucson and sportage. Im thinking of going for a crdi awd. Not that i will be going off road but i might end up traveling out of colombo in some rough roads so the ground clearance will come in handy. Looked at a few past threads but most are too old to get anything useful. 1. Are there any know issues in these 2 ? 2. I sort of like the facelift over the 2011 model. Was there anything other than lights that they had changed in the facelift ? 3. Also was there a turbo and non turbo variant of the CRDi 4. Any other options you guys think i should consider ? Im not too worried about fuel economy and numbers but needs to be reliable. And can someone explain to me why the sportage in general has a higher asking prices than the tucson, considering they are almost identical ?

The price seems quite ok but are you sure about the mileage? A. 10 year old car that has only been driven 5000km every year? Have a look at the previous emissions reports and check the mileage. Also personally, lady driven and doctor driven are two of the biggest red flags for me. I know people in this category who don't even know how much air needs to be pumped into their tires.
