And it looks like the Swift doesn't have a 4-wheel independent suspension setup like the Lancer

You're importing the japanese spec, right? https://www.suzuki.co.jp/car/swift/detail/spec_rst.html Engine : K10C Turbo Maximum power output : 102PS Maximum torque output : 150Nm

^ This The Lancer has the reliability of a 121 (tried and tested 4cyl NA engine, conventional auto transmission, HPS, etc) - it's as practical as a crossover with its 165mm ground clearance (Swift - 120mm) and the 5m turning radius (Swift 2017 - 4.8m despite being smaller), reasonably comfortable and fits 5 people and their luggage with space to spare, it looks better, (subjective, I know, ) has loads of potential for customization, both mechanically and cosmetically, it's a unique and rarely seen car in SL even if you keep it bone stock. tl:dr - It's the perfect all-rounder for Sri Lankan roads, driving pleasure is the icing on the cake - corners like its on rails, has the acceleration when you demand it, driving experience of a Lancer is many things but boring it is not.

Nice one, T! About the AC, did you try replacing the cabin filter? UNIMO guys often overlook replacing it. I haven't even set the AC on the lowest setting because it gets too cold (I have clear tint (CR70 I think) on the windscreen and normal tint on others, not sure if that helps)

Nah. The Lancer is one of the most discussed cars in the forum; possibly the most discussed car. That doesn't mean the Lancer gives more trouble; it's because almost every member of the forum is fond of it. Take a look at my profile ("General comments" section) to see what one of the top contributors of the forum, @iRage, had to say about Mitsus. (Edit: I stole it without your permission, sorry mate, but your words hit right in the feels) I'm fairly certain that's the same case with Hondas.

Which is the best Toyota Raize Model for my requirements?

That's what every Sri Lankan felt about the tenure of the former prez ? -
Try to find the workshop manual, it has extensive details on adjusting the bonnet
-
Just keep it waxed, that'll do

It's not bad, I mean atleast the mechanical bits won't give you much trouble. There's a 2013 one in the family - it has run past 100k kms with only routine maintenance + accident repairs. The interior looks like a 90's Jap car though, quality of the plastics used is horrible.

@alpha17 got the CVTF change done from Katugasthota TL right? I don't think they would overlook the calibration (but it doesn't hurt to double check anyway)
-
Have you had a chance to test drive one? I'm curious as to how the driving experience of the Raize made you feel

brand new Is there a speed limit in first 1,000km for brand new cars
Hyaenidae replied to Dhaham's topic in General Automotive
My 2014 car had running in recommendations mentioned in the owners manual (but the engine was designed back in 2010, maybe it was necessary back then) http://www.mitsuguide.com/gimes-213-running_in_recommendations.html- 3 replies
