san1985
Looking for a car in the range of 1-1.3 mil and came across this one.. http://www.autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=48446 What do u guys think about this? Will this do well on fuel? http://www.cars-directory.net/specs/toyota/corolla_levin/1996_5/2943/ According to that it does about 18.8/l. Is this possible? Can it do at least 14? I have heard that finding body parts is bit harder? Will this be a big problem? Is this worth at this price? Coz i have no clue about the value of this model... Appreciate your help.. Thanks in advance.. Edited June 4, 2011 by san1985

It has the same corolla 110 engine i guess...(110 does around 14+ right, even some claim 16+ in outstation) As i have heard Mazdas does not do well on fuel? Is that a fact? Correct me if im wrong.. riddle
bro... i had an ae110 auto and it did around 10-11kms in city with a/c,, assuming that it has the same engine,it must be more lighter than a 110 since its a 2 door car and its a manual so you would be able to achieve more than 14kms according to the facts.but dont know how true it would be in the real world due to driving style and cars previous maintainance. (How come having only 2 doors become such a issue? is it due to low availability of spare parts? I guess in other countries these sport cars trade at a premium, correct me if im wrong) Edited June 6, 2011 by san1985
European freak
I insist you to go for this keeping the fact behind that i takes sometime to sell. There are kidoos who buy these for fun rides. If you could brining it down for 1.1-1.2 pretty worth though it a 2 door. Get out of the box. It does well on petrol just slow market purely been 2door.

(How come having only 2 doors become such a issue? is it due to low availability of spare parts? I guess in other countries these sport cars trade at a premium, correct me if im wrong) Well it`s simple, most of the people who would want to buy a corolla would use it as a family car, hence would need 4 doors. More demand, higher price. You are paying less for the Levin due to low demand. you get for a lower price, you sell for a lower price. There are a larger number of 110`s in the country compared to Levins, so body parts are plenty and cheap. As far as the second hand market is considered in some other countries, two door coupe`s do tend to be expensive, but only certain models which are actually performance oriented (real sports coupes). Two door versions of corollas, sunnys, etc... with no performance improvements are actually cheaper than sedan versions. P.S. Once you own a two door car, if you`ve got plenty of friends and other junkies to carry around, you`ll know what a pain in the arse it is.
