Finally found a car @Gummybr doesn't recognize.

Hallelujah!

🥹

Edit: Here's a hint - It's made in America but it does have Italian roots. @matroska

Well - Gummy came close with his Ford guess since ford were somewhat involved.

So anyway this is what I think the answer is... correct?

Nope! No panther (or ford) is involved with this car afaik.

Don't know who the woman is though, 😅

Here's another hint: The picture of the car I've posted has been taken in Sri Lanka.

These photos can make us come up with some wild ideas more than car names 😄

Believe this was discussed in the thread previously.

It is supposedly built on a VW platform to look like the Bertone Carabo. This is infact a kit car.

Kit car manufacturer is Fibrefab and the model is Aztec7

The reason for the Ford mention was because of the tail lamp design.

He meant De Tomaso Panterra

I did - along with Spaghetti and meatballs, the mafia, De Tomaso Pantera is Italian-American and it had a Ford involvement as well.

A French masquerading as a German, would have been a nice plot for a WW2 spy thriller.

Mercenaries would have had many citations, but they can easily goo many places.

Nicely put. Now only I know it has relatives in other countries... So yeah Mercedes Citan Tourer badge was what it had. Your chance now.

Ok - here's the next one. Read carefully and answer.

A local tv station conduct a competition, where you have to answer a simple question in order to win an all expenses paid trip to Mexico. The question is "what does C17H21NO4 stand for?"  Being the petrol head you are you answer the question mentioning that this is the engine number of a 1.7 Liter diesel engine via SMS. Soon the TV station contact you and congratulate you on winning the contest and you have won an all expenses paid tour to Mexico.

The Chairman of the TV station meets you in person and asks if you can bring something for him from Mexico. He mentions that he wants to obtain a specific brand of baby powder that he used as a kid and it is only found in Mexico, and his associate there will hand you a packet of this baby powder to bring back. You agree wholeheartedly. You travel to Mexico, and stay in the sunny city of Culiacan where you hear the sound of fireworks all the time and realize the people are always in a festive mood in this part of the world.

On your third day in Culiacan, the TV station boss calls you and mention that his associate Ovidio will meet you in your hotel. Ovidio seems a nice guy. He offers you the famous Mexican version of a popular cola, which you have heard is tastier than the international version. Ovidio mentions that after this refreshment, he will take you to a nearby place to get the TV boss's baby powder.

After drinking the Cola, you feel a bit weird but Ovidio reassures you that it is probably a side effect from the fumes from the fireworks going off near the hotel he takes you outside where a taxi is waiting.

You realize the taxi looks very similar to a car that was very popular in Sri Lanka in the 1990's but due to the slightly dazed state you are in you are not able to pinpoint exactly what model it is. "this must be a very old taxi" you tell Ovidio. Ovidio replies that this car was actually made in 2015 - you are surprised since you're sure this was a 90's car in Sri Lanka and you never saw a newer version of it. But you still can't remember what it is.

You get in the car and drive away and fall asleep. You are woken by a loud explosion, and you are lying on the side of the road. Ovidio is nowhere to be seen. The car is a burning heap and all that is left of is this partly burned piece of door upholstery.

As you prepare to give your statement to the Police who arrive soon, you suddenly remember the model of the car.

What car were you in?

[P.S: The image is more to align with the rules of the game. The clues are in the story]

Well...that wasn't a very sunny ending....but WTH ??
You should know to NEVER EVER agree to carry anything that is white and powdery for anyone! High risk of getting yourself in jail or with a doctor...sunny experience it will not be.

So are you looking for the Mexican name of the Sri Lankan name?

Believe me after reading this I got some visuals in my head from movies, names of which I can’t recall. I don’t know which bugger would export a 90s car to Mexico and sell it as a 2015 model 🥸😝 nor I know the car name.

It was actually made in Mexico search for Tsuru from a popular Japanese brand.

There was an article on the web that said that the Y61 is still being produced for certain countries. I myself thought that it ended production just before covid hit, but doesn't seem so.
