Why would someone sell used headlights?

I could think of a number of reasons: They were salvage items from a wrecked car, the owner is upgrading, or possibly even stolen (from a chop-shop or stolen new from a warehouse) etc.

You mean in SL someone would wreck their car, but the angel eyes would be in good condition and the insurance salvage would sell them separately from the wreckage? Really? Never occurred to me. But unless they are stolen, I still can't imagine there being a big availability of used, good condition projector headlights.

if anyone would???? machan it seems very expensive those out there...anyway hw much willbe brandnew's...??? need XID ones...

Personally I wouldn't mess with the OEM setup as the last thing you want is diminished light output or a failure when driving down a B-road late at night...Why not just change your existing halogen bulbs to super bright ones that manufacturers like Sylvania are producing these days? GE Nighthawk makes a good product as well that comes in varying temp colours.

If you are absolutely set on changing your setup: Go with a known name brand from a reputable source, even if there is a slight premium charge. Don't cheap out on your headlights, especially if you drive on the new highway.

Well its always possible that you could get rear ended where your car maybe considered a write-off, yet still have the front end intact. :D

Not sure whether the insurance companies would bother with parting out cars; but they do sell / auction the cars off as salvage to interested 3rd parties who would then make a profit by parting out the car.

True, plus you'd have to get them with the ballasts, ballast boxes etc. It might be just simpler to look for a HID kit and retro fit the existing assembly...

^ Halogen. Costed around 28k when I got them sometime back, USA. And light was aligned to left hand driving lol. Light output was bad, so I installed Osram Nightbreaker bulbs, but din't help much, so might sell them sometimes :)

can please some one advice me on bringing down accessories such as lights n other stuff from ebay??prices are pretty cheap there but i dont know whether i will be taxed in SL.is there anyone who has done this before??i need to get a pair of head lights (smoked) fogs and the sports grill for my ek3.thanks in advance :)

And yes you'll be taxed, and overseas shipping will cost a pretty penny. Check with aram*x to seeing its feasible to get a shipping address in the US. That will be cheaper.

The best bet is to get a relative to bring all that stuff down when he/she comes. That's how I got all my mods :)

Talking about angel eyes you have to pay taxes if you order through e bay ....If you are trying to take them in to the country through customs at the air port the wont allow you coz car accessories are not allowed through customs. So considering these situations it's better to buy them from a car modification place :)

For me I have taken it through customs coz I have few friends so if you have a situation like that you may try it...
