Bose Suspension

Recommended Posts

Thanks Davy. What is the best suspension brand in sri lanka?

that would be the brand your car came with. sadly. unless its a 4wd. then there are some places which can sort you out

but for performance suspension, you'd still have to ship in in from overseas

It is Boge, German brand by ZF.

Good old days Sri Lanka State Trading General Corporation was the agent, now i dont think any one is doing them.

If it is for a Euro car check the specialists they might have them on stock or may be able to get them down.

Or you could try K*B they have replacements for some common Euros

Not 100% correct. In case of Japanese car suspensions they are either KYB of few other brands re-branded as Toyota, Nissan and etc.

U can buy a KYB for actual price or u can buy the same thing re-branded for double price.

Thanks JDNET. Is Tikico shocks are more comfortable than KYB?

There was a whole thread on this subject which you have obviously missed. I don't think JDNet can answer that question because you can't really make that sort of a generalisation. JDNet recommended Tokico for your car because they make the original shocks for this particular model. KYB also makes compatible shocks which will fit your car. We have observed that both brands when sourced and installed in SL seemed to be a harder than the ones which were originally on the car, but part of that may be down to wear, the other possibly because the JDM shocks are a bit softer than the ones sold in SL (because there are many variations of the same shock absorber aimed at different markets). So some have had better results replacing with used shocks but we probably wont advise that.

In the end it is a judgement call that you will have to make.

kayaba is not my definition of performance suspension. i meant something on the lines of adjusstable coilvers and stiff dampers. that sort of stuff is available for off roaders here. but not streetcars
