I think the whole point of chans argument is based on the fact that selling permits r illegal. The reason for issuing permits is govt servants generally get a salary below par of their private sector counterparts. Permits and other similar benefits r given to offset the disparity and to keep ppl motivated and loyal to state service. One can buy a maruti or a jaguar depending on one's affordabilty for personal use. The key word here is 'personal use'. So the sellers r the ones who r really to blame for creating a market to a bunch of mongolian idiots.

If you're issue is with the people who buy the permit, I share your sentiment. We DO seem to have a bunch of self righteous permit-buyers among us.

EXACTLY, issue is with the buyers side, feel that i messed the message i wanted to express.

As a side note - selling the permit / creating a market value for it/ allowing mongolids to access is may be their personal choice, we do have to respect that indeed,- but will say it's not that decent since it's yet illegal .

On the other hand , who's 100% legal today ?

Bit of news for permit garandiyas. The Monty offered for the permit is made in japan, but some components are locally fitted. No clue as to what all the locally fitted components are, but expect the alloys & the sound system for starters. To much of our excitement, we could actually see some real frankensteins on the road:-). Oh one more thing... they are coming on first of april next year

dear mr. viper (crosswind)

this is not the first time that alloys and the sound system were installed locally for the permit vehicles.. for an example when the TOYOTA 141 offered for the permit last time in 2008-09, the alloys and the kenwood players were installed in Sri Lanka.

i cant understand why people cant realize that alloys, sound system, sunroof are not essential for a vehicle

and also why the hell that you are so sarcastic about the government servants being given permits

regarding the other point, any fool can understand that it take some time to built a vehicle.......... and when it comes to permit you are not supposed to by a vehicle from an existing stock but to import it under your name using your permit.

can you name a vehicle which is delivered instantly for a permit?

so what is your point.............. those vehicles are not worth or something because of the issues you mentioned?

Why are you so sarcastic about permit holders?? And why on earth you use garadiya term for people. Buying a car is not a garadiya for rest of the world its a necessity in most countries just like we spend money on food, water, and house and clothing. When a country gets develops more and more people buy cars. In countries like US,UK,Japan, etc etc every person in the household has a car. Its may be a garadiya for godaya people like you.

Well selling permit is their business, so its good if we mind our own business just like the people in other developed countries, and that goes a long way. But unfortunately our people have used to check out business of other people rather than minding their own things. Crosswind is a perfect example of that. Calling names for people (like garadiya). Well if someone has money to buy monty or other car sing his own money (permit or non permit) its their business, even if someone buys a car for permit they pay huge amount of money for that car comparing with a person in another country (ex USA or Japan or UK). So whats this fuss about. Thats why I said just because someone buys a car he is not a garadiya.

i think he mentioned about the garandiya's who are buying the permit .

Well chan5 read my status, we cant say garadiya to anyone (either selling or buying) unless its a godaya who has no idea about why people buy cars and with the development of the world cars have now become a necessity for people.

I'd tell you what to do with your theories, but it would be quite rude. Cars aren't a necessity. Transport is a necessity, personal transport is merely a convenience.

ruwan1,

Since "crosswind" did not directly address you as "gardiya" it fall in to the category "it is not your business". and you can mind your own business by ignoring it as in "other developed countries"

If you take it as your business to answer the term garadiya; it seems that "crosswind" is very good at identifying characters

Vehicle permits should not be given for government servants since they are the people who are directly responsible for ruining the economy

Instead it should be given to private sector employees who brings the much needed forex

listen retard,

get this straight ...

from AL Dictionary -

Garandiya - person who buy other's permit , order BMW5/MONTERO, boasting about winker mirrors/leather seats/HID Conversions/travelling without number plates for 2 weeks , until it arrives.....

Get it to your "international" brain.?

And yes, please we've never got a chance to travel to a developed country or atleast somalia.why don't you tell us what it's look like.

Please man. . . .

Side note - BIPOLAR affective disease is quite a special one because it actually has two phases of it , at any given time any phase can recur,

manic episode - simply you feel HIGH/dominative/boast/feel to change world/think others are idiots.

depression episode - you feel useless/worthless/hopeless.

And mind you the mania can occur by various triggers , cold/rainy/moist environment is one of those.

Feel that has happened , poor you.:(
