Wonder why people are giving you negative rep though,it was just your opinion.ople are giving you negative rep though,it was just your opinion. it is admirable ofcourse for some people, since we had a lancer in our house for 25+ years as a daily driven car. i have so much more respect for that car, lol Ricers, thats why

He should have made his design a 70's car not this 90's mish mash. Looking at this car most people will expect it to perform like a 90's sports car and it obviously will not be able to. I dread to think what it would feel like. Very creaky I would guess. In a past reference I recall this car having a 4G63, so it should be pretty fast. Not sure if its AWD though. Not sure if its AWD though. You're right, it does have a 4G63 so it's got to be front wheel driven. The original A72 was rear wheel driven. On a side note, I remember reading an article about this car on a local Sinhala newspaper and he says that one of his motivation factors was that when he had this dream of modifying his old Lancer, his so called friends have made fun of him and have said that the idea will get him nowhere (this should be back when he was just a mechanic). I guess what drove him was mostly his motivation and not the experience or his designing skills. I just wish he hadn't destroyed the "soul" of that good old Lancer A72. Sigh! The Don
Well there are a number of kits cars like the Dax Rush which are based on Ecsorts but don't look anything like their donor cars. That does not mean this is a destructive process, well probably for the donor car and its so called Soul but the fact that people decide to do it isn't something we should necessarily condemn. MasterDon
I agree with our evil dictator overlord The Don...Plus it's just an old Lancer underneath ne,so no great loss. Edited November 14, 2012 by MasterDon
esdeez
At the risk of going off topic, but along the lines of what MD said, here's somthing that caught my attention. http://paultan.org/2007/05/21/bmw-m6-skinned-to-look-like-volga-gaz-21/ Again, completely different from the original car, but IMO quite stunning and tasteful. The quality of the work looks amazing too. Here are some in progress pics: http://englishrussia.com/2012/11/13/bmw-into-gaz/
