Provincial Counsil Permit

Clark's son

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to know if the Provincial council permit been offered now is transferable?

What vehicles can be imported for it,

What is the tax structure,

And what kind of prices do they fetch (the permit only)

Permit doesn't say that its not transferable.

Audi Q7, Discovery4, Toyota Prado, Toyota Land Cruiser (was told its not offered anymore), Merc E220, BMW X5 also a possibility of the new Nissan Patrol.

Total of 40% tax on CIF upto US$ 40,000, you can exceed upto US$ 5,000 but you have to pay full customs duty for that amount.

Permits range from Rs. 9mil upto 10.5mil

Mods take this off if you see it against forum rules

is the nissan patrol on offer the old Y61 model or the new shaped Y62????

They are offering the Y61 and not the new shape, maybe discussions with Nissan didnt go well. Would have loved to see that monster on our roads.

@least the Audi is lovely, but dont know how many will go for it.

The irony is that even though the Nissan Patrol hasn't seen the shores of North America since the 60's, they were the first to get Nissan's (Infiniti) super sized SUV, the Q56, which incidentally is the same as the new Patrol Y62. It's up there with the LC200, and IMO looks so much better. Enough to contend with the new Range Rover even I would say.

Well its much more bigger than the LC200, and they've got good engines as well although the diesel aint the same size of a LC200 or the RR.
