Hi guys,

My allion 240's petrol consumption in city limit is around 8-9km/l and 12-13km/l in long drive. I had done an engine tune up about a year before.

In several advertisements in AL, I saw that they have mentioned the same model does more than 12km/l in city.

Sometimes that may be not the genuine figure.

I tried on several threads regarding this but couldn't find any direct answer.

Can allion 240 users share their experience on this please?

I guess it's all down to your driving style, since it's a year do a tune up again, some filter, plugs changes and check ecu for any error codes..I noticed some fuel efficiency reduction when I started to use 92 octane over old 90 octane with my mazda 3,but it's not something I can prove.Anyway 1-2km difference always turns out to be the driving style.Drive like a grandma for about a week and see if it improves.

That's normal. My Vios is the same. Those who claim that their 240s do more than 11 in the city don't drive their cars often enough, but most claims are just bogus. There's nothing wrong with your car.

Thanks a lot guys for the responses.

As Gayan says, It's the time to do another tune up. Also, will try to drive as a grandma for few days. :sarcastic_hand:

Because I'm a daily traveller abt 25-35Km, this efficiency fact noticed to me regularly.

Thanks Guys again and like to see some more comments and ideas from others also.

Well it seems normal to me and guess that your daily drive includes some traffic jams ? if so the out put might be ok.

for a daily driver 25-35km seems 12500-13500km totall drive for a year?

if the previous tune up has done a complete thing i dont think it's time to do another one again.

how about the long drive ?? KM's like 100-150 ??

as terrabytetango state it's normal.

I'm worring abt the previous tune up as it has not done a complete thing as you said.

In my previous tune up, that person said that the plugs are OK and he did only cleaning the system and checking ecu. He didn't replace the plugs.

That's why I thought, it's the time to do another check up.

It's about 350Km of long drive and then the total is abt 14000Km.

Well said. if you think its not a good job yes it's time to go for a complete tune up. sure you might get fuel+performance upgrade but dont expect 10-12 figures on this earth......

Yes mahesh. I'll go for a complete tune up soon. A round figure like 10km/l is more than enough for me. ;)

After the job, I'll let you know guys...!!

Thank you very much for your valuable comments.
