tcfern1
What about hybrids and electric cars
Reckless
Import tax for electric vehicles are reduced by 25%, nothing about hybrids. But probably all vehicle prices might go down with the proposed new tax scheme.

ramithad
hybrid vehicle prices went up. duty is actually reduced. but vat portion isolated from existing duty. Toyota aqua price go up by around 110,000 Toyota Prius price would be increased by 150,000 or more Honda vezel would be settle around 185,000 up from the current price. Everybody is in the dark as to how the tax system will play out. So you can forget predicting how the market will react. So just wait and see, it's not as if buying a car is like a life and death situation where u have to decide right away.
