Pajero Io 1.8 Gdi Turbo Engine Block

Hi All,

I'm searching for a 4g93 - Turbo engine's, engine block, which contains the cylinders for the pistons. Any idea if this is even possible and if it's so, from where I can try to locate one?

sry I have no idea, but I remember from many threads that u had lots of issues with the io? Is it bcos of bad previous owners? we had one when they landed here. It never gave any issues, we even took it to yala, it was the fully loaded thing with all the options it came in. And it was a manual,which was very rare.. we got it recon though. Maybe thats why it was trouble free.. oh it was the non turbo 1.8 gdi engine. oh try euronippon, we got a tail light from them for the io

i know it's not an ideal solution but i can safely recommend the option of you switching to the non-GDI 4G93 2.0L

We've used what was essentially a brand new "Montero" IO which is the export non-JDM variant imported by the local agents over a decade now and aside from the mediocre fuel economy it's been (*touch wood*) completely trouble free

It might well be a viable engine swap option for you

Yep it did. At the same time I have taken the vehicle through thick and thin and it never failed me at a time in need.

All in all it's a really good & dependable ride. But now seems to be creating some havoc.

I'll check Euro... and yes you are lucky to have found the manual non turbo.

Unfortunately Mahinda doesn't have turbo engines.
