Toyota Prius 3Rd Gen Vs Toyota Allion A18

alpha17

Question

Hi everyone!

One of my friends wants to go for a prius or an allion a18 under 4.5 mil.he had fd1 in the list but dumped the idea becoz of the bad fuel economy.he prefers a 1800cc engine becoz he wants a good pull than the 1500cc.he had been using an axio x before.so he asks me to get an advice for him from AL experts.

-he needs to know what has the best performance, specially the acceleration

-what is the comfiest

-which will handle the potholes and bumpy roads well

So plz give ur comments guy.that would be a big help for him

Cheers

To add up for the comparison.

I have used both allion 1500 and 3Rd gen prius.

Prius is way more ahead in acceleration department. Probably due to support from electric motor.

People who complain about prius may be driving on eco mode.

There's a power mode button on every prius.and pressing it awake the magic.

In the expense of very low fuel figures.

If the reasons for selling the fd1 were ground clearance and fuel economy.

The fuel economy issue will not get settled by buying another 1.8car.

And the ground clearance will not get settled by buying a car.

What you need is a diesel Suv

And for your budget it would be a korean one.

As you are searching 2008 allion

You can go for a 2008 or 2009 Santafe.

Handles like a car. Adequate ground clearance. And comfortably does more than 12 on diesel in colombo

Pumped a 1000 bucks worth of 92 octane from empty this morning, went to Katuanayake, back home, then to office for a 100+km journey and averaged 25kmpl and some change. Still projected 100+kms remaining #justsaying #blessed #thelhiganna #humblebrag
