Just wanted to ask a couple of questions. Does anyone know who is the authorised Volvo agent in Sri Lanka ?

Other question is, Could anyone give me (even a rough value) of a Volvo V40/D2/Diesel 1.6/YOM 2015/2016) ?

Hello TT,

Thanks for the reply. However, that's what I thought (Swedish Lanka), I phoned them few months ago and they mentioned that they are no longer agents for cars. They were transferring me to department to department then I ended-up in no where, the staff has no clue regarding this model. It looks they do not have much links with Volvo for lighter vehicles but do repairs/maintenance for Volvo heavy equipment.

Thanks anyway.

Well TT, I did some research in the internet on this and saw some old newspaper articles around 2010, there were no clear information. However, as per the clues, I assume that they lost the dealership due to a legal issue/breach of contract.

Swedish Trading lost the Volvo dealership in Sri Lanka. Now its Frontier or Regency or something.

and volvo cars are owned by geely...there isnt much than water pumps and furniture in Swedish trading dehiwala...a volvo is parked infront of the place may be a former employee's one..

Jaguar agents (Regency Automobiles) are the new agents for Volvo. They have to the Volvo XC 90 at a special introductory price of 22 million if I'm not mistaken. Don't know what the new price with the tax changes though.

Regency Automobiles are no longer the agents for Jaguar in Sri Lanka as far as I know.
