Best Car for around 3mn

Hi All

My first post on AutoLanka and looking forward to some valuable advice. So my question is this.. Looking to get a car for around 3-3.2Mn.. My requirements are as follows..

1) Should do well on fuel (around 14-15)

2) Mainly travel in Colombo with occasional visits to Kandy (once a month approx)

3) New/Reconditioned(<5000km) ( Don't want to go for a second hand one)

4) Not Indian make (Alto, K10, Celerio are out)

5) Decent second hand market

From the initial research I have done there are around 3 cars shortlisted. Picanto, Axia & Wagon R/Stingray..

From these three which one is the best? Any other vehicle which fits the bill? Thanks in advance for the feedback..

-1 for WagonR as you climb hills.

Wouldnt be much of a problem for an occasional trip to Kandy . it would be a bit less powered on the hills but if ur in favour of fuel economy and dont mind the lower engine power that much then the stingray would be the best IMO .

If you are OK with 660cc, I saw one Toyota new car for 3.2M in Kelaniya area car sale. I'll check and let you know the name.

Actually this car was introduced recently,  so its too early to say anything about  the second hand market.  This recommendation is based on the previous perodua cars which did well in our country such as Kelisa,  viva elite....

Don't consider Axia. It doesn't even have adjustable steering for basics.

The wagon R has quite a comfy ride for its size due to the soft suspension, on the downside its under powered and that tall body along with its tiny tires + soft suspension are not helping it in the corners.
