is there any visible oil leaks ?? check under body ones as well.. if non, when was the last time you changed engine oil and how many km's have you done as of now?

First, your a/c recirc function isn't working, that's why you're getting the burning smell inside the car.

check your tc gasket for leaking,..

Don't spray any penetrating oils on /near the engine when servicing the car.
