New Nissan T 32 Xtrail (Hybrid or Petrol) Gear box issue

Hi , I am interested in buying a Xtrail T32  hybrid or petrol version  but i was told that gear box this T32 start giving trouble after running for 30-40k. Can someone explain me what is  the  real problem. Can that be repaired in Sri Lanka. When i check the news paper adverts it was noted that there are quite a number of  cars for sale with 20/30/40 k Kms on the clock which is an indirect indication about the problem.

Lack of maintentenance will leave any transmission resting in pieces.

If you go through the previous threads on the X-Trail you will see that a few of the owners in the group have had to deal with the transmission issue, and all of them are appalled by the poor fuel consumption figures and want to our wish they can get rid of the car as soon as possible.

Go for a CRV if you can find anyone selling, bullet proof build quality and reliability, more comfortable.

My friend had a xtrail hybrid and started having the gearbox problem. He had around 40k on the clock. He sold it for less than 8 million for a loss of about one million. He was told that repairs would cost around two million.

yes i heard one of automobile engineer told as same. he told his garage at that time there are several X-trails due to Gear Box issue, his technical explanation video you can find on youtube. His name is Deeptha Appuhamy
