Apologies for reviving this old thread, but I’d like to give my two cents. If you're looking for a mechanic job in the auto industry, you're in the right place. There are usually plenty of opportunities available, so make sure to check out local garages, dealerships, and even online job boards. Additionally, if you ever find yourself interested in exploring international job opportunities, you might want to check out India Government Jobs. They might have listings specifically related to the auto industry or mechanic jobs. It's always good to keep an open mind and explore different options. Best of luck in your job search!

I actually also wanna become a mechanic. But which degree do I need to complete to become a highly qualified mechanic?

Try German Tech, City & Guilds and also D*MO - DATS school. There are other places as well but these are very much recognized. Mechanics are in demand these days specially in Sri Lanka as all the experienced people have gone abroad. There is also good number of opportunities abroad as well.

Also look in AETI (Automobile Engineering Training Institute) in Orugodawatta. It comes under NAITA, well recognized and has high demand for the Automobile Mechanic Full time course. There are other courses like Auto Electrician etc. Try calling them for more details.
