AEM HIGH FLOW FUEL PUMPS

Can anyone tell me whether we could fix a "AEM HIGH FLOW FUEL PUMPS" into a 2007 Lancer CS1?

are you having some startability, idling issues? Usually the intank pumps only helps in low revving range. After that the intank pump shuts off.

I am not experiencing any issue such as startability, idling issues. I just inquiring about the replacing existing fuel pump with  high flow pump. Can I get performance improvement by doing that?

Not by only changing the fuel pump, unless you change the ECU mapping and may be the injectors.

You may be able to get more fuel in to the system if the pressure is increased but doubt there will be a significant improvement. Fuel mixture will be too rich and will have other issues plus reduction in economy.

intank pump only activated during start and idle, the power is deactivated at higher than idle because Pumping is mostly done by the main pump. If you just keep sending insane amount of fuel with a more powerful intank pump,it will just come back to the tank via the return valve. Therefore you need a complete upgrade with injectors, main pump first as kush said.

The simple answer to your original question is, yes you can and yes it will fit. There are many Evos with this AEM fuel pump and the fuel pump housing and petrol tank are the same, so it will fit. 

But should you put it in a stock CS1 with the intention of gaining more power? No. It's like emptying a jug of milk down your throat in 30 seconds (refer to the FRIENDS episode where Joey did this ), your throat will regulate the amount of milk that can be sent down and overflow the rest (or you will choke). Similarly the fuel pressure regulator in your car's engine will try its best to control the pressure to match the stock fuel pressure. Even if fuel with higher pressure makes it through the fuel pressure regulator (say due to the fuel pressure regulator being faulty), the ECU will see the rich condition of the mixture and shorten the injector pulse width (the duration the injectors are open) to stop the mixture from being rich.

So no, you won't see a noticeable improvement in performance, nor significantly higher fuel consumption. 

If you want more power, you can do more sensible modifications like go for a high flow air filter for starters. If you insist on going for the fuel pump, then you'd want to upgrade other fuel system components like injectors and get a tune done.

Please don't butcher a perfectly fine CS1... just sell it and go for a CS2 EFI/CS3.
