hahah yes - this image is actually something i had saved from a post in a group to stare at time to time so it's like one of those favorite porno's you keep for future reference :D

yeah has to be - when did the facelift come ? 2002 or later isn't it?

BTW @Devinda_Z - there's a 156 for sale on the quick site (only Alfa for sale on that site ) pre-facelift with teledial rims

@matroska always nice to see one but that one doesn't look nice and shiny like the ones in your picture ?

Hello Experts,

I am looking a car less than 1.5 million and i am interested in nissan bluebird diesel 1998-2000 model. And also i want some good comfortable and  good outer look. I think  bluebird is ok to me. Therefore i just want to know,

what is the best bluebird model to buy,

Are the diesel engine give loots of problems than petrol ??

How about the maintained cost for bluebird. (price of the parts and how easy to seek)

For last thing, for diesel cars most of the number plates are in 65-****, there for can we ride it using Lite vehicle driving licence??

Please help me i am going to buy my first car so i don't know anything about cars.

Thank you.

Is this a follow up to this thread?

seems so - if so would have been good to have posted this in that thread itself - can a moderator please merge this thread?

Yes - 65- is for light vehicles so you can drive it without an issue.

As for the other questions i think those have been answered. Do a search on the forum for older posts. For example like these

I had a Fb13 (doctor sunny) long time back, Excellent car if you want a non flashy ride that has a really good driving feel. Solid body, solid engine and loves to rev. I sold it for around 9 lacks back then at 140K on the clock, even if its say 1Mil you got 5 laks left to overhaul the whole car and mod it??

On a separate note, Bluebird SU14 is a decent car but gas mileage is very poor from what i know. Also the car sits very low and some of the older diesels (65-) had issues with excess black smoke. (could have been negligent maintenance). Other than that its actually a comfy car.

Nissan parts are generally easy to find and not that expensive, although some mechanics find it annoying to mess around with the GA series engine. But generally its cheap to insure and running costs are averagely ok. The car driving feel is pretty refined, not as smooth as newer cars but definitely feels good to drive and reminds you of the driving roots.  what is best about the cars in this era is the close balance between the mechanical side and the electronic side.  Post 2005-6 cars just got more complicated with electronics and nowdays cars are just switches and ECUs all over.

Within ur budget you can also opt for March K12 (Ive used it and can recommend), Toyota Duet, Nissan Cube, City (2000-2), Accent hatchback, (these are all a little newer)

But solid cars pre 1999 with some solid ride would be  FB13/14, Presea, Bluebird, Ae100, Elephant back corolla etc..

Hello experts,

Good Day to you all,

I'm also in a similar position to buy a suitable car for the same amount of budget.

What do you think of the Toyota Corsa (Tercel) in this manner? I'm considering this in addition to the models your good selves have suggested.

Appreciate your feedback.

Thanks & Regards,

Sajitha
