Buying a Datsun Pickup (AGY 720)

Hi Guys,

I've found a Datsun AGY 720 Model double cab (28-xxxx) and it's in good condition. But I have no experience using this kind of vehicle. So please someone help me out to know following details?

* Is AGY 720 means D21?

* Do I need to worry If it's fitted with d21 chassis?

*What are the points that I needed to concern?

720 was one generation earlier that D21

Yes. Because the seller probably told you its "fitted" with a D21 chassis. You don't fit chassis to vehicles. Most probably its an illegally imported D21 with a 720 book.

So...does it look like a D21 or a Y720 ? 

It could be an illegally imported/budded D21 running on a Y720  registration book (if it looks like a D21); or someone took a D21 and put a Y720 body on it (either imported under a body permit, which is unlikely because they would have just got down the body of a D21; or from one or two messed up Y720 they already had).

You should not be concerned with any points because you should be walking away from it.

Following one is the vehicle. in cr it's 720. But it's D21 body right.

Yup. D21 from the 90s. A vehicle like this carrying a 28-sri or a similar 720 registration will be stopped by cops at every junction. Stay away.

Yupp ! That is an early D21. Stay away...that thing cannot be a legally converted vehicle at all if the chassis is a D21. If a legal conversion (after getting a body permit) was done then the chassis should be a Y720 with a Y720 or D21 body on top. A chassis/frame change is an absolute no no...so there is no way a Y720 book can legally get a D21 chassis.
