A-B transport like pick up the kids from school/grocery runs? Daily driver to work? Weekend long hauler?

Mainly would be like grocery runs and the unplanned once a fortnight trips. Sold my M6 the previous week, so now trying to find a low budget one which apparently has rose close to double the previous price
