Toyota Cygnus diesel conversation

Hey guys, I'm a new member to the forum. I'm planning to convert my 2004 cygnus to diesel.please advice me about the rmv things and where can I make this happen?

Before cnverting you need to file for approval for a change at the RMV. This saves a whole lot of trouble later on. It is just a matter of fillin gout a form and providing old and new engine information, etc....SOMETIMES they will ask for the car to be inspected at their inspection facility.

As for the conversion itself, no idea. However there are plenty of places that do conversions but only a few actually do a proper job. Remember...a proper conversion would be mre than justdropping in an engine...it will involve everything from reenforcing the chassis, improving sound deadening, installing vibration dampers, etc...(I hope you are getting EVERYTHING off of a diesel Land Cruiser and doing a ocmplete swap). I would say, first and foremost go to a 4x4 specialist shop. If you go to someone like Bruce, they work on Land Cruisers and the likes of so much that they have a good idea of what needs to be done. If Bruce doesn't do conversions himself he might be able to mentin a few names of garages he has seen good work out of. 

Now..make no mistake...a PROPER conversion is not going ot be cheap (liek dropping in a new engine and driving off). So think long and hard about it (doubt you will be able to sell a petrol LC in order to buy a diesel one..but who know..maybe you might be able to purchase a cheap hatchback or something to run around town if that is what you are after).
