BTW - i got a new alloys set for the car, brandnew - had to pay 26/- for it.

Dude.. any idea what the rated PSI of that washer is bro? And does it really do a good job? Had an idea about purchasing one but then again, my "deep" pockets does not extend so far as to making it possible for me to purchase one ;-)

From whered you purchase it buddy? and do let us know of any drawbacks etc..

Guys I got a chinese made one for just 6500 bucks and it's working pretty fine. Also it has a higer pressure than the Karcher model that goes for 12K. Karcher is a good brand but expensive and the higher pressure ones are very very expensive...

There's a shop called "Modern Hardware" or something towards Kotahena side after the panchikawatte junction.

It had some 'Max' part in the name. I've been using it for about 4 months now. I bought it on a reccomendation by a friend who has been using it for close to 2 years. Even though it does not carry any warranty, the dealer claims he has parts to fix it. I think the name of the shop is "Modern Equipment' a small hardware shop Before St. Anthonys building in panchikawatte. The pressure was 110 bars or something.

It might not have the quality of the Karcher unit, but at Rs 6500 it is worth the price..

Interesting.. think i ll pay them a visit soon.. one more question madmax.. is the hose of sufficient length? cuz you see.. i got a teeny weeny garage which i manage to squeeze the car into and washing the car kinda takes ya life away.. the longer the hose the better..

The hose is about 3 mitres long, but the model I bought has wheels on it. so If your garden hose is long enough you can drag the pump around the car.

yeh, NeXGen i will let you know once i go home, now @ a class. (after work) COM ON its just another 5500/- more, and U get a German product, Use it FOREVER!

believe me bro.. with the tight constraints i am on (me unemployed!! :) lolz) a 5500 saving would defintely be a HUGE saving.. though i am opting for reliability so ma hearts still set on the German one... pros and concs evaluation first hehe..

Small question. Is there a compartment where we can add soap into this?

Also will you have directions for this shop?

I did find that there is a compartment to add detergent or something equivalent.. but when checking online they say you ve got to purchase the optional accessories which include the soap which could be put into the machine.. though there should be ways of putting shampoo/soap too...

the easiest way to shampoo the car if shampoo cannot be included is to get a huge ass bucket.. fill it with water and include shampoo into it.. make it lather and rather dan connecting the hose from the pressure washer to the tap.. put it into that bucket.. should work.. me think..
