isnt it a tad too large to be a sport coupé? ...very much a Bentley wanna be cozy Gt car,which had é potential to "move" :D

but outta curiousity, is that engine é biggest motor in é island??

bar those big rigs (though litle by int'l standards) , which vehicle has the biggest engine in Sri Lanka in terms of displacement???? :huh:

They were/are all too big. More cruisers and nothing to do with sports cars. Its a classic case of excess. When an S class is too common etc.... :lol: But this one actually looks elegant compared with the W140 Cl which looks a bit slab sided?

Biggest motor in SL......hmmmm how about those Rolls Silver Spirits and Bentley Mulsannes which pack a 6.75 litre V8? :o:blink:

is it me or is that AMG badge look a lil off? if it isnt some wierd illusion of the photo, it doesn't appear to sit quite right :) but then it does have dual exhaust tips ???

Who is this guy and why should a non-politico need 2 LR defenders as escorts unless he's some kind of dubious character? Or is it so that he can cause some trouble in case someone bumps into his car :P This kind of display is nothing but flagrant showing-off I think, while we read about farmers who are committing suicide because they cannot sell their crops....Better if that money was used for something a little more moralistic...But then it's his right anyway :)

he is a high profile Ship Chandler - so given his wealth etc etc in todays crime ridden society its fair for him to have personal security

that things is jus soo bloomin massive!!! who owns it??? & r there more than one?? - gold/champaign colour car is it?

Strange but I can't seem to remember the colour of the Bentley. I think it's smoky blue. I see it occasionally at St. Theresa's Chuch Thimbirigasyaya for the 6.30pm Sunday service.

Not sure who the owner is. But the Rollers also pack that massive lump but without the Turbos the Bentleys have.

hmmm i've been tempted to come to St. Theresas for mass in é past, i think getting a shot at a 1st hand view of a Bentley may just do é trick.. :D

afterall, u reall cant go wrong between God & Cars :)

Bit of a night club atmo when it comes to chicks' outfits who come for that service as well. :lol:

thought i'll dig up this old thread ... the topic of SL's came up this weekend when discussing all time greats and the R129 SL was one of them.

how much would one of these go for?

The extremely rare SL73 AMG was sold through AMG in 1995, and at 525 bhp (391 kW) it offered the most powerful V12 engine ever put into an SL up to that time. After a brief gap, the SL73 was offered again from 1998 to 2001, although the engine was slightly updated to be more reliable. The same 7.3L V12 was later used by Pagani in the Zonda. A total of 85 SL73 AMG roadsters were built. The SL73 was briefly reintroduced in September 1999 following the SL's end of life facelift and a limited number were produced up until December 2001.
