Dunlop Japan seems to be the most value for money option, Have used Dunlops before pretty good tyres

There are variants of Pirelli which is made in Turkey and Bridgestone which is made in Malaysia or China I believe for a bit cheaper

Also try Kumho though I think the version in SL these days is the chinese one not the Korean which was very good (from personal experience)

According to Pila Nankang is quite good as well (sorry Pila if I am quoting you wrong here, I think it was you who run Nankangs)

Used to have GT radials on my old van.. no complaints. Looked pretty good to with the balloon effect. What ply are you looking for? Are you running alloys? whats the van? Really unless you do a lot of outstation running theres no point in investing in Bridge or Pire or Mich.

Yep! swear by them.. but the ones I have are NSII's which are low profile and meant for cars.. no experience in the variant that comes for light trucks/vans though. But I'd expect it to be decent judging by the ones I use at present.. and the agents are good (k*dy tire h*use)

Hi Mates,

My Van is TownAce CR42. With Alloy wheels. 14"

Where to buy tyres for very competitive price?

I got above prices from Universal Tyres in front of Aquinas, Borella. (next to Lady J)

I have seen lot of tyre shops near Sudathadasa satdium and in Amar stree juction.

Are they having genunine brands or duplicates?

Regards,

Dharshana

There is a thing like this, a lot of the times dealers would reduce a portion of their comission and pass the discounts on to customers so sometimes tyres are cheaper at small dealerships than the main dealer, though obtained from the main dealer,

I cannot really reccomend a place myself, what i used to do is call a few places up tell them what you are after and compare the prices

Not u. u already mentioned that. The boy looking for the tires.

but i thought he was asking me since his post was just down mine

whats your van?

im using Nankang for our van and its better than GT.

its better to go for a larger one like 205 if u r using a Hiace/caravan.

I figured out that u thought that. But no one else would ask "whats your van? " to a post "i got 15" ones for the Hiace at 7500 per tyre".

I shall now admirably refrain saying anything rude.

Since it's a Van and you won't require ultimate cornering etc. I would go for the GTs and save the money. GTs are good IMO. I have used GTs some time ago.

depends on his requirments. For us we reach 800kgs each ride and for the last 8 years we found Toyo was durable

well im just gonna instal

205/14 on my cr42!

its maxxis with white letters...7500 worth it?

Maxxis is decent (Used to be called Cheng Shing) and is a long lasting tyre from China. Used to be cheap but they jacked up the prices once the market caught on.
