Recently, got the opportunity to see and get inside of The one and only Japanese V12, Toyota Century(a.k.a Japanese Rolls Royce). Is it really upto Rolls Royce standards? Nope, I don't think so. Items like Switches and mirror housings are in plastic. But, we can be assured that the dashboard will not light up like Christmas and would run forever....· 1 reply

The cost of renting something for a month or two (even more - personal imports have been quite messy of late) made me wonder if it actually makes sense to buy a quickly disposable car and get rid of it in a couple of months - but it seems the 'popular' models aren't moving. I'm looking to by a 406 D9 HDI these days but it seems like extremely difficult to find one which is for sale. Can you help me by highlighting which issues and parts should we specially inspect on the car given the fact that the car now more than 20 years old. And are there any good ones for sale in places other than Famous ad websites ?
If we couldn't find a Diesel one what would be best Petrol engine variant to find.
All other general instructions on 406 are appreciated. Thank you. 🙏
(I went through old 406 threads before raising the topic and most recent 406 thread I found was in 2021)
