I think on the blue permit, you have to owned it for an year.

A Blue Permit holder would be entitled to bring in a car of any age or 10 years

Standard work permits came in two categories if memory serves me right -

1. Those who've worked overseas for 3 years or more can bring any vehicle which is upto 3 years old , but they have to haved owned the vehicle for an year at least.

2. Those hwo've worked overseas for over 5 years can bring any vehicle which is 5 / 10 years old , as long as they have owned the vehicle for 3 years
