yep looks like most of the car scenes are in the open desert...and the first part of the trailer reminded me a scene from bourne film.

i wish they keep it true to the original film...you know with more midnight drags on jap imports and slutty girls

i think the reason is that scene started to look uncool with the rise of the rice boy

the rice mania seem to be dying down as well...i see less body kitted,stickered cars on the road now compared to the early 2000's,when the fast & the furious fever was kicking in....i even saw kitted morris minor's back then

the street car parties where chavs come over to show off thier hydraulics is mostly limited to car parks in big cities..

though many simply compete in organized and sanctioned races on closed circuits, there are yet those who race on the shuto , tomei & hanshin expressways...

Daikoku Futo some years back was not nearly as tame...

given its central location all kinds of petrol heads pour in there on a good night... not just JDM's , if your lucky some of the euro exotics drop by as well!

Kanto prefecture is where most of the racing which has been documented by both Japanese & western media has happened..

not having travelled extensively outside that region its not possible to comment on how things are in other prefectures, but the japanese take thier tuning very seriously, so one can only imagine that some that excess power is going to be expended on a public road , somewhere , sometime..
