Please Help Me To Choose My Car

Won't a registered, current shaped Swift fall into your price range? In fact there is one in the AL classified :)

My choice would be a 2001/2 Mazda Familia. Preferably a Hatch which looks better than the sedan, ok sedan if she insists. Fuel consuption is 9-10 km/l easy. It's a LOT better in every way that the boxy swift and the Vios put together IMO. Fully independent sus, Japanese build that makes a Vios feel like papadam. All for less than 2m!!!!!!!! You can't go wrong! You should get one for 1.8m max. Buy the wife a diamond neckless with the change! She'll never complain :D !

Well on mine, I had 2 rear headrests and 3 rear seat belts (2 shoulder belts at the sides & 1 waist belt at the centre). The leg space for rear passengers were surprisingly large. I would say better than some sedans. I don't think this model came with side air bags. So the rear safety is pretty much what you would get for any vehicle within this price range (I think).

I think the concern is the lack of (or tiny) crumple zone in the back if a bus or lorry decided to rear end you. Sounds like Vitz has been showing his wife 5th Gear episodes lately :) I also for some reason he's talking of the old boxy shaped one rather than the new one, the one that looked like the Ignis.

Yeah Praveen, exactly the reason is that. She feels like it is just like as a three wheeler

My search for a second hand car ended always with disspointments. Finally, I got my un-registered Vios (2005 sep). Still, I have to recive the regististration number and waiting to explore my car.

Fuzzo....it would be very helpful to me if you can give my some tips for maintaining this car. Has anybody got a user manual of Vios.

Thanks guys, for helping me for my selection.
