To put it in one line its ... Carina 212 comfort and economy for AE 100 money. I have a friend who gets about 9/10km/l driving mostly in Colombo off peak on a Camry manual 1.8 litre. Auto should do 7-8 with careful driving. While the Camry parts are still available (body and trim)...the Vista was a little rarer. I suggest a jaunt down Delkanda just to check. Anything in particular you need to know? Only thing though is that most of these cars are quite hacked by now. Have it checked before picking it up. The auto transmission. Will it do at least 7 ? Also whats the difference between the SV40 and the SV41? Back then the import duty was not too bad that these cars were affordable for most. The popularity grew more as government permits were introduced (most of which had a capacity limit of 2000cc for diesel cars). So for those who wanted a nicer car than the usual Corolla/Sunny/Lancer/Carina/Corona/Bluebird..the prime choices were the Vista/Camry (where the diesel was better vlaue for money).
