About Pitstop

K3Z

Question

I read on a some thread (can't find it though.. :action-smiley-060: ), that some AutoLanka.com users had bad experiences with Pitstop.

I'm thinking of going to Pitstop for service my car, since it is close to my home and charges are quit cheap. At-least according to there website.

I was wondering what the bad experiences, you guys had with them...

thx.

Only bad is that they refusing to put Toyota Oil in my TOYOTA car! wrote a big complaint..anyways, if i ever get so much of money, i will put a double size of a Pitsstop, give the same or even better service BUT will allow ppl to bring the Oils for their CAR!

These guys actually dont allow you to bring oil from outside?

As a policy, no they dont... but apparently if you're nice to them, you can get around the rule... devinda can elaborate more on this i believe.

I don't believe in being nice to get a service which I'm anyway paying for lol :) would just go somewhere else!

Do they stock all brands of oil?

Last time i checked they only had castrol products...not sure if they have the other brand now

Last weekend did a Brake fluid flush at there.. Got a spongy brake pedal before.. after Flush everything's back to normal..

they used BP D.O.T 4 Brake fluid.. it should be possible to bring other brands of fluid. some of the Vehicle brands specifically saying to use their products. (Example Toyota to use T-IV). does Castrol or BP have anything similar to Toyota T-IV?

Think they'd mind if I went with my Megs and asked them to use that?

Well you can always ask, but since they are the agent for Autoglym, i dont think they'll be entirely chuffed at the idea of using a rival product...

Been going there for about a year. Their ok, But their interior cleaning is very poor. I usually have to complete the job myself at home.

funny, i've got several interior jobs done there and they've always been quite good. You should make a complaint if they havent done it properly.... considering the amount they charge for things, the customer has every right to expect a very high standard.

I've serviced there a couple of times in the past, always bought Mobil and gave them, and they never made a fuss.

went there mainly because they were tied up with the Nissan Agents and therefore avoided the fuss of having to supply them the genuine filters from outside.

However, switched back to Cleanpark because even though there never was any problem with their work, the attention to detail in polishing and cleaning was never anywhere close to Clean Park level.

Yep, did make a complaint when they called to follow up. Basically there still was a bit of sand under the front seats, there was a couple of white patches of some sort of powder in the front passenger carpet, and a big palm print on the dashboard!

Unless this thing happens repeatedly, i'd still go to them, cos as the others have said, generally their good. Specially the waxing.

Nop Elvis, U can bring your own oil..i have been for the GT(Mobil). and then when i took dads car with TOYOTA OIL they said - they cant! damn! they, allowing everything else and not TOYOTA for my TOYOTA car! well, wasnt nice to them, but they did the change that day, but said not to bring the same oil again, but again the servicing person told, that its the best oil U can put 2 a Toyota car since, its from d manufacturer it self.

I agree with U on that note too, if i'm paying..wot d HELL? no need of being nice Super Natural, dont U think? be nice for girls..and not for them :angry-smiley-048:

most likely would have left the polishing apparatus on the carpet - when its been used for sometime the felt/sponge and the tried polish in it dries up and can be seen everywhere as white powdery residue
