More Japanese oddities! Circa mid to late 90s. In fact, one was offered for sale here on AL quite recently.

Thought we are doing stuff that we have locally?

It's not a Renault. This French marque no longer exist. It was taken over by Peugeot.

To make it easy, here is an enlarged photo. :) (With the badges blurred out)

a Gordini or Simca of some description?

Talbot/ Chrysler Horizon! Someone else can go ahead if I'm correct :) .

Yes, shown in the pic is a Chrysler / Simca HORIZON.

Horizon is the acceptable answer since there were also Talbot Horizons.

:) Thank you 'terrabytetango', 'Elvis_Pil' and 'Devinda_Z' for your efforts. :)

We are... There were quite a few of these running around at one time (mostly as chryslers I believe)... I think there are only one or two survivors because they tended to rust into dust quite quickly! :)

I have never seen these cars in SL.

That photo was taken during a trip to Italy, in my childhood (1987).

Even then it was quite old.

What I never forget is its unique engine note / noise.

I've seen one reduced to its component parts thanks to the creeping Tin worm.... This was in a suburb of colombo. Saw another somewhere in the hill country, can't recall quite where at this point.

Really ?

There might have been only a handful of them here.

Otherwise I wouldn't have missed spotting one of them.
