how lame of you to think i don't know the diff between e36 and e46. the point taken from the said advertisement is not da diff between e36 and e46 but da price diff between 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder engined beemers. you had made a general statement about price diff between 4 cylinder and 6 pot beemers and when i prove that you are wrong then you try to specialise your original general comment in such a desperate and pathetic manner. the irony here is that the very man who misinterpreted my original comment by generalising a specific comment is now having to do the opposite to save his sorry face. are you going to tell me similar E46 318i (4 pot engine) is advertised for for 5 mil too? what a looser!

don't bank on retarded findings by bugatti. like you he is also the same kind of a joker who felt that in another thread that mazda3 is not slower than axela even while former is 10hp down on paper. funny enough his proof is the subjective feeling he has got while driving the cars - what a scientific way to gauge performance, good for him. no point trying to reply the nitwit comment that brings up e46 vs e36 on an argument that is to do with price diff between 4 pot and 6 pot beemers.

Yes, I Am going to tell you exactly that....

EDIT: in the spirit of full disclosure, I do believe the ad has been updated since isuru quoted it.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves with the Civic bashing. A D15b v-tec will be quicker in most cases :)

i think both you and i know very well the circumstances under which this advertisement is being published.

And what circumstances might those be? I certainly have no clue....

As an aside, the car in question HD - 8142 IS actually a 318i (as the badge on the back states). I can state this as a fact because the first owner of the car in question was my aunt, she sold it a couple of years back.

The question is the circumstances it was sold... obviously he current owner got burned by a EK3 on GP and decided to sell the BMW and buy a Honda... that's JoshLogic fer ya!!!

ahhh the oldest trick in the book...create an aura of mystery when there's nothing else to say...please have pity on us and do let us mortals know what these circumstances are,oh great one!

the expert is digging his own grave deeper still, wise men say "when you're in deep shit, keep your mouth shut".  :angry-smiley-048:

hic! relying on a sorry state advertiser who cannot figure out a right price or right information about the car to change da advertisement to prove a point! pathetic!

oy, assistant koluwo, tell me how long it took me this time for this reply and with reasons too? this time also i like the information in red color larger fonts, all upper case letters. it feels great to make an idiot work hard with emoticons, fonts and colors.

Interesting you find it pathetic, coz thats the ad that YOU quoted - 36445, to make YOUR point.

And we would request that you not insult the advertisers, whatever your opinions of the advert.

interesting you don't find that i used the advertisement before it was modfied, in the original state. when it is modified then it no longer refers to anything that i say. i wouldn't have used this advert in the first place if i had known it is merely a 318i. i have my personal opinions on a 318i being advertised for 5 mil but understandably those opinions are different to those that i might have for a 320 being advertised for the same price.

there are no grammar errors in that. (well there's small spelling mistake. that's it) but i don't see why i have to waste my time on a seperate matter arising from some person trying to genralise my original comment about a specific car.

Just an observation MadMMX. Most e46 diesels were imported on permits. This include even later models like the 2004 facelift which i use. Therefore people have added a lot more options to these cars because of the lower investment cost. Petrol cars generally have lesser options (there are few fully loaded ones). But most fully loaded ones are diesels. The car advertised for eg. has only 6 airbags, when most diesels, including mine has 8. Also the interior looks very bland

Actually RR - you're quite write about the options. Mine was basic when I got it. HOWEVER - BMW has retrofit kits for everything example the Bluetooth and Xenon Auto leveling was added on myself. Actually the above list is all the bits I actually have in mine :) and it didn't cost the earth to add them. The bluetooth is supercool cause its completely integrated into the car audio and uses the display of the radio to show the phonebook of the phone ..etc and also has voice recognition actually allows you to speak no's and commands directly without any pre-training :)

But really the options are endless on the E46 - and all can be added in at any point and if you have a good bmw dealer - he can source all the genuine wiring harnesses at really decent prices like for the electrochromic mirror and multifunction.

The car actually also has a lot of customizable features - which presteige doesn't really show you - like setting up your remote key to unlock only the drivers side on one press and the rest of the locks on the second, activating the clown nose without the full security kit - changing the fuel consumption meter on the obc to read km's per litre instead of the standard ltrs per 100kms :) All doable with the DIS. PM me if you want to check those out :)

Cheers,

It still doesn't change the fact that your WERE comparing the price of a E36 with that of a E46.... you couldn't even identify the difference of the two models and still go on to defend your statement. :action-smiley-060:

Give up man...!

That bit right there. So convoluted I have no idea what the heck you mean. I did check out both your screen shot and Supra's, which I assume was the before and after.

This bit just just seems to say you didn't really research properly before coming to an opinion AND airing it. :) Didn't it ring a warning bell when it said E320? rather than 320i or summin? Adverts are notorious for errors, AL doesn't do a check and correct thing off their own, just in case what looks like an error was intended by the customer. Customer is always right and that sorta thing, ya know?
