Not seen the NSX drive down to Negombo like I used to see it every morning...Any idea on where the Red Monster has gone missing ??? Has it been sold or what ?

Oh dear another nice car off our roads. Any ideas how the owner manage to wreck it?

not quite certain , but the car is sitting under a cover at Stafford Motors from what i hear...

Sitting under a Tarp at stafford at present.... Owner was either sloshed or asleep (or some combination of both), according to the guys there even he doesnt know exactly what happened. Impact on the front left and then car has traveled forward scraping the object. Net result, Front left corner is completely stove in, Suspension totally buggered. Wishbone is snapped in half and the wheel is no longer attached. Also severe denting along the left side all the way up to the rear quarter panel.

Repair costs are apparently still being estimated because of the aluminium panels and such, expected to be in 7 figures at least!

ouch.... I guess its hard to asses IF a repair be worth considering you cant quite get a valuation for the car to begin with. Out of curiosity, does anyone know how mcuh it was when importing?

Think the number tossed around the forums at the time was in the region of 18-20 mill? Same as a Porsche Cayman at the time, IIRC.

A friend of the car owner has crashed it... agent says it'll cost nearly 7 mio to repair.. but insurance guys and the owner wants to condemned it... such a pathetic situation... aparadei car eka...

insurance works at say around 20k per million. thats 400k per year for a 20 mil policy. Car's been around of around say three years?

Its by the salvage section of an insurance company, so the owner must have chosen to accept the write off, interestingly it says its the only known carn sri lanka and that its repairable. Although redaing between the lines "repairable" must be a very optimistic statement when it comes to cost-benefit.... But hey, lets hope someone saves it from death...
