Dear Experts, My friend's Ek3 VIRS is having following problems and agent's solution is bit expensive therefore i would like to have your coments as well. 1. Multi matic gear box is giving sort of hum with a vibration. Agent says that repair kit to be done and there is no gurantee on that and replacement of a used gear box also not a lasting solution. 2. Engine idle speed drops when A/C is on. (Agent wants to replace the ecu) please advise, Thanks in advance.

I got alloy wheels from U & H at slave island and they took my 14" original japaneese rims for peanuts few weeks back. You just try some time still my ones may be available there. They deduct only 250 Rs per each rims. Regards,

As far as the second hand market is concerned Mazda 3232 is better than Familia but Tercel does not have a good resale value.

Exactly don the same thing happened to one of my very good friends at the air port that air line guys had asked my freind that missed bagages will be dilivered to home since he has got American passport. Thanks Nilantha, My battery indicater is fixed on top of the bat, It can't be removed. Any way yesterday bat, technecian checked with the amp. meter and said that bat. is ok but last night same thing happened after parking with light on and could not start the engine. Today I am going to do a load test of the battery then I could have a better picture i suppose.

If you have the sri lankan passport, it is more recognised than the NID. Better you go and see the asst. commisioner (Tecnical) at RMV ) with your SRI LANKAN passport and he is a very nice person to halp you.

Friends please help me, My car is having a main. free baterry came with the car (japaneese). I have used it for last 1 1/2 years with out any problem . Now after parking the car with parking lights it gives less power to strat the engine. (Starter motor drags bit) But the batery indicater is Green. What do u all think please?

MX consume more fuel and give more power. Better you go for a efi model to save fuel.

Brother don't worry about maintenence because spares are not expensive than expected. But most important factor is the previous maintenence of the car. EG8 is now more than 14 years old therefore I would like to suggest EK3 rather than eg8. Both cars are very good and if you find efi model of eg8 is much better in fuel. I have used both models and ek3 is better in driving and economy.Eg8 does 13km out station and ek3 does 14km at moderate driving (Fuel injection models) If you do repairs at the agent it's bit expensive. you may find a lot of Honda experts are doing repairs out side and you can get spares also from one shop at panchikawatta(Some times some spares are cheaper at the agent ). It seems you are really like eg8 therefore you try to find one which has been used by a monyed man so you can expect that he has done the preventive maintenance in time. When i was lookin to by one. One of toyota mechanic tols me that spares are not freely available. Check on that before buying.
