    So the battery vendor says Panasonic / Yuasa does not thrive well with the local heat and engine bay temperatures in a diesel, thus recommending Exide, the local make!

      Yes, This happened to me. specially if you have a diesel. I had to change the Panasonic battery in 1.5 yrs.
