  1. But but it would be fun to fit a fart canon no machang? For that moment the engine kicks in
  2. Familia is the JDM version. Familias come with 1.3/1.5L ZL series engines where as 323 have a 1.6L version with a ZM-DE engine.
  3. That is a heavy load machang! Had a KE74 when building the house and IIRC, did 4 bags of cement at a time, tiles etc etc... Never thought the wagon could handle it but somewhat surprisingly it did.

    Filling Up

I've been using, forgot the name now, a US branded one which is available from Laughs. You have to put it every 4000 kms. I've been using it for every 5000 kms 'cos that's my service interval and easy to remember that way.
  6. I'm not in rage, I'm as cool as an ice palam I was just explaining your double standard toward people you like and dislike. As a moderator you have to be neutral. And there I have it. I am unintelligible. Yes. I was not expecting anything more. Enjoy your vacation man!
  7. Hilarity of the thread aside, I agree with rover on this one. It's funny how some people ignore this unbelievable hypocrisy and let the vociferous potency act all hunky dory in the forum. MADZ, from the past threads I reckon you two are friends in real life? If so please tell this joker to release his tautness elsewhere. It's hard not to say anything after seeing this stupid, irresponsible and infantile behaviour.
  8. Yes, I have noticed this many times. He's a pretentious douche trying to look smart by picking on newbies who can't express themselves fluently in the English language. The condescending attitude is no surprise since he clearly have his head so far up his arse. So, as others jump in and say, newbies have to "man up and suck it all up". It's funny how quickly people forget that at one time they were new to this stuff too. English and cars. Some people have been doing this stuff for a long time than others. Many of you know about cars to a far far greater length than me. There are people with varying degree of fluency in this public forum. To be a moderator, you have to have a thick skin. You have to tolerate bullshit more. If you're not willing to do that, stop putting "it's not THE car, it's A car" type of crapasstic comments. Everyone can see that. And Peri, I'm not writing this to piss you off. Don't jump on people on their 1st or 2nd post. You can certainly warn and then ban people if they're doing excessive advertising or doesn't comply with forum rules. And VVTi, this time I do have my diaper and ice in my vagina. Tis all good dude.
  9. You now know which time of day to unplug the batteries and reconnect! And your clock is in sync now!
  10. Both are giving 100 bucks it seems. Can someone volunteer to collect money from VVTi and Californikan? Larger for everyone! ;-)
  11. Machang that dashboard of "Toyota Corolla 1985" is that an after market dashboard? I've only seen these - http://www.use.com/ae86_8a18531ee95783470174?p=11#photo=11 http://www.use.com/ae86_8a18531ee95783470174?p=12#photo=12
  12. WOW! Thanks for sharing machang this is absolutely breathtaking!
  13. FM transmitters work great outside of Colombo. Problem within Colombo is that almost all the radio stations broadcast so strong that frequency ranges fill over. So when you're travelling it's very hard to get a clear signal even if the chosen frequency is far away from the usual frequencies. May be you might get better quality with a somewhat powerful transmitter. I just tested this sometime back with the FM transmitter built into the phone. Might not be a fair conclusion.
  14. Oh yeah. I forgot to include bazzilion other things a petrol head is interested in. We all know the hybrids are new. We all know the parts are not yet widely available as other Toyotas. Yada yada yada. It's just FUD - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear,_uncertainty_and_doubt. It's the same situation where auto gear cars first came to SL. I'm sure there were more than a handful of stories where your auto gear car ran over your family members. Yes and that's the fault of auto gear technology and people just should not manufacture these things. How can anyone not see the abominable negligence of that?! My point was, can we just fscking move on?
  15. Yeah machang. A friend uses one. That thing does about the same within city and do about 11 on cruising, outstation.
  16. You are my friend is at the pinnacle of stupidity. Just like all the BS about hybirds. How bad they are. How environment unfriendly the battery disposal process is. How expensive low friction bearings are. How gay the drivers are. etc... Yes, it's light hearted to throw the gay joke couple of times but as of late it has gotten demeaning. You so called effing petrol heads jumps at the slightest hint of hybrids saying how superior your sappy petrol guzzling machines are. I thought this was a place true petrol heads hangout. A place where you appreciate the engineering aspects. How everything work together, how you do crazy things to your cars etc... Hybrids are "new" to Sri Lanka. Except that Don dude who has driven a hybrid when all of us were hanging in to our mums tits. Good. But, for the love of god, can we get past this menace and try to appreciate the cool technology that goes into machines? Sheesh.
  17. Couldn't make it. Gah. Hope everyone had a great time!
  18. That paka wheels dot com site archived. In an AL thread no less. Go fady!
  19. I thought carb cleaner and contact cleaner are two distinct products. Are they not? [didn't bother to read empty cans ;-)]
  20. Hilarious. Thread. Ever! Mad guy you Max!
  21. Went to see about 4 Beetles about 6 months back. Interior seemed like some big cats mistakenly took it to be their meal. Literally.
  22. Be weary about "free" programs claiming to provide stuff that simply cannot be done. There are no upload accelerators. If there is such a program you have to have an agent program running at the server accepting multiple streams of data coming in and be able to concat those into a single file. Certainly there will be no such thing for youtube. Just sayin'

    Tire Brands

Machang, if it's a family car don't think about the 5 - 8 thousand quid you might save, buy a set of new tires. If I were you I would not gamble with safety. Specially this rainy season. Just my two cents.
  24. Sirawata. Here for the lulz, I come.
  25. It's universal. Will work in 100-240v - http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/PlayStation-3-Slim-Teardown/1121/1
