yes found it on Facebook- blue one with 11 sri plates. Curious about the background of how those Audi's landed here. I know that the VW Passats, Jetta's were imported for government institutions like Petroleum cooperation, Railways etc. (have seen pics of a passat gathering dust in a railway warehouse) - same for the Audi's?

Yes. Correct . This was Jaguar E type series 1.

Yes it is ! Was surprised to see one. It was parked inside a temple so no idea what plates it had.

I have seen one. But it was a basic model with halogen headlamps. I think a few made it to shore before the import restrictions .
