What war in Libya by NATO? You mean the conclusion of the civil war that ousted Gaddafi? Oil prices (world oil prices) should go DOWN 'cos of that, once the Libyans start exporting oil again.

To be corrected as; The price of petrol will be increased by Rs.12 per litre, diesel by Rs.8 and kerosene by Rs.10 with effect from midnight today, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said.

Meanwhile Lanka IOC will increase petrol by Rs.12 a litre and diesel by Rs.2.

Do not worry we have already Dig the fist gas well in Mannar off sea. So very soon gas will be available free of charge to every household for cooking and lighting in Srilanka as for Chintana. more jobs will be created we will eliminate poverty from our paradise Island.

So that we need not depend on Electricity any more, more gas station mudalalis will be created in villages for distribution of gas to villages.

like during late MRS. S.D.B+++++++++++a's time in early 1970 we got oil ( un )successfully in mannar inland well which, Russians were engaged in oil drilling. I was engaged in Electrical repairs to their machines. later they found it was not commercially explorable and closed the project.

The last 1977 may day rally was one of the longest by then governing party, which took to pass one point 6 hours or more, and one slogan was not to have elections till we get oil successfully.

Fortunately Late JRJ came to power in 1977 and today we are enjoying TV using most modern Automobiles in the world and going to have drag racing this week end.

Well this seems like a budget magic. Budget is coming soon, now Gov can reduce couple ruppees from what they increased and say we reduced prices from budget.

Well i feel sorry for you.People like u daydreaming about future while country is dragging into living hell.See how courupt is our oil exploration in daily m*rror article published in last week.The arthour is writing about our oil expo.since 1970.Might be one of your friend who worked with u.Even our foreign reserves has been only 1.0Bn USD even though gov. says 8.0Bn.So stop dreaming and see the reality at least we can save the country for future genaration.

Actually the fuel prices have dipped this year because of recession fears. Who are these people trying to fool? This is probably to cover for the loss of importing faulty fuel. We get to foot the bill while some scumbag in CPC makes money from importing water.

Obviously the guy is being sarcastic at the beginning but he pointed out something important. Many Sri Lankans are daydreaming of oil in Mannar basin but according to his post (if it is a true first hand account), it may be just another political stunt pulled by our master manipulators.
